1,Cast Iron Manhole Cover Description :

manhole cover is a removable plate forming the lid over the opening of a manhole, to prevent anyone or anything from falling in, and to keep out unauthorized persons and material.

Manhole covers are often made out of cast iron, concrete or a combination of the two. This makes them inexpensive, strong, and heavy, usually weighing more than 50 kilograms (110 lb). The weight helps to keep them in place when traffic passes over them, and makes it difficult for unauthorised people not having suitable tools to remove them.

A manhole cover sits on metal base, with a smaller inset rim which fits the cover. The base and cover are sometimes called "castings", because they are usually made by a casting process, typically sand-casting techniques.

5FAQ:

We have organized several common questions for our clientsmay help you sincerely

Q. Can I fit a square manhole cover into a round chamber?

A. Yes, there are a select few manhole covers which are square-to-round, meaning they will fit square or round chambers.

Q. I have a heavy traffic manhole cover but it has been broken by a forklift, why?

A. Forklifts have solid wheels which apply pressure differently to standard pneumatics and therefore covers must be specially adapted to suit this.

Q. I’ve measured my clear opening size but none of your covers match it, can you offer anything?

A. It’s likely that your cover is quite old and in imperial measurements which are no longer manufactured. However, we can offer bespoke solutions with manhole covers made to the specification you require.

Q. The project I’m working on requires a manhole cover with a quality finish, what’s available?

A. Naturally, galvanised steel of black polypropylene aren’t always ideal, and so we offer brass or stainless steel edging, as well as complete stainless steel covers.

Q. Odours are coming through where I have installed my manhole cover, why?

A. Your cover must be sealed and locked, or neoprene sealed, so you would require a T-Range Cover, or if you require a solid top, a selection of the PC range (e.g. PC2BG3, PC6CG3, not PC2BG) are suitable.

Q. I need access through my manhole cover on a regular basis, is this possible?

A. Yes, the majority of covers have built-in lifting keys, and for those that don’t we also supply lifting keys. However, the best way to obtain easy access is to have a bespoke, hinged manhole cover.

Q: Are bands like Iron Maiden, Metallica, Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin, and the Misfits considered metal? Or does metal have to include screaming now?
metal core- atmospheric and progressive death core- a mix of death metal type riffs with punk/screamo type vocals doom metal- slow gloomy atmospheric metal grind core- death metal with a brutal sound. It is usually over-powered by the bass guitar and vocals sound more guttural then they do shrieky or shrill. melodic death metal- death metal with Iron Maiden/Thin Lizzy type riffs and melodies throughout. Often contains a beautiful solo by the rhythm guitar player. black metal- there are two types- The original classic style is marked by low-fi, underproduced sound and basic drumming- The lyrics usually deal with evil, paganism, nationalism or all. modern black metal contains- vox(blast beats), heavy bass with underscored rythym guitar in the background and lightning fast drumming that keeps time with the bass guitar. The lyrical content is usually the same as what you'd here in classic black metal. These guys usually paint their faces and wear black leather. Stoner metal is done in a 70's pschyadelic style with lyrics not meant to be taken seriously.
Q: i want something metal but not death metal or black metal =x
It's a kind of compound, not a metal. It usually contains some form of petroleum. Doesn't degrade like food very easily, which is why you shouldn't throw it away to a dump, but instead a recycle bin. You can always wiki or google it for what exactly a plastic is in depth.
Q: What are your favourite Japanese rock and metal?
Refined metal is pretty much the currency for high end items in TF2. It's better to find good items such as hats and miscs and sell those for refined metal or keys. But if you do have a ton load of scrap weapons and metal then do it if you want hats and such.
Q: I'm really lost on this one I can never really tell the differince between any metal so I couldnt tell you which type Ilike.Theres Power metal,Black metal,Death metal...Like whats the differince???
Nope. There are plenty of new Thrash bands today. Ghoul, Violator, Warbringer, Evile, Swashbuckle are just a few examples. Even some of the old school Thrash bands still play Thrash like Death Angel and Sodom.
Q: Can someone explain to me all the different kind of genres. From what i think:-metalcore is like hardcore metal with some screaming some regular vocals-metal is like hardcore rock???? help-death metal is a step past metalcore and there is more screaming???-black metal is like devil worshiping stuff...right?any other things i missed?P.S. my favorite metal bands are Asking Alexandria, blessthefall, and As I Lay Dying....you guys?
Heavy Metal- Opeth (but anything heavy in general.. Ozzy Osborne being the earliest) Hard Rock- AC/DC (again, this is another huge sub-genre.. Steel Panther, Chevelle, Skillet.. even Nickelback) Alternative Metal- In Flames (possibly the biggest Metal subgenre.. Linkin Park, Tool etc) Thrash Metal- Slayer Industrial Metal- Rammstein Metalcore- Killswitch Engage (Botch, Zao, BlessTheFall, Parkway Drive and all this new age Malcore eg: Asking Alexandria) Hardcore Punk- Black Flag (today, Modern Life Is War run this sub-genre) Deathcore- Chelsea Grin Nu Metal- Korn Death Metal- Cannibal Corpse Post-Hardcore- Fugazi (Silverstein, From Autumn To Ashes, Adept and today's even worse Malcore eg: Pierce The Veil) Gothic Metal- Cradle Of Filth? (Anathema, Type 0 Negative) Black Metal- Agalloch (sorry, but i'm not big on Black Metal)
Q: lol i adding a few details to this...which do you like better metal or rapEXPLAINquot;the metal shall live onquot; -Tenacious D
Metal Gear Solid HD Collection was released on November 8th and is available now. Metal Gear Solid Rising is showing up as Dec. 31, 2012 but that's most likely because they haven't set a release date for it yet. I would guess more like Holiday season, 2012.
Q: Just asking out of curiosity.I personally think that they do count, because they are a step ahead in extremeness. Progressive metal is more intricate. Power metal gets so fast, that it sometimes even surpasses the speed of Thrash metal. But what do YOU think, fellow metalheads?
metal is awesome , violent riffs , blasting ect. black metal is very uplifting , especially depressive black metal :)
Q: I need 3 examples of ANY metals or non-metals and their uses, as question and answer. For example:Q: What metal is used in lightbulbs:A: Tungsten
There's a pretty good answer already that I've sourced below. I think it'll help you. Basically Heavy Metal is the genre and the subgenres are power metal, speed metal, death metal, thrash metal, etc. You'll find that most people who like heavy metal don't like all forms of it. For instance, I love thrash but some of the death metal is just a little too much for me because I like the vocal style of thrash over the low, gutteral voice style of death metal.
Q: yes or no .and if you want write your opinion
try some metallica songs (master of puppets, battery, for whom the bell tolls, ...and justice for all, blackened, etc.), or iron maiden (the trooper, number of the beast, run to the hills), or dream theater (these walls, the root of all evil, panic attack). also try painkiller by judas priest.
Q: How are some metals shiny and some dull?
For the metal-to-metal coefficient of static friction, it depends a lot on the composition of the different metals, their surface finish, and the amount and composition of any lubricant or surface contaminant. Ditto for leather on metal. As a rule, for clean, smooth metal-to-metal surfaces, dissimilar metals tend to give lower values for static friction than two surfaces of the same metal that would have a tendency to stick to each other (i.e., seize) and refuse to slide at all. This is especially true if one of the metals is very hard and the other is relatively soft, which is one reason why sleeve bearings are made of relatively soft stuff. It also helps if the surfaces are smooth but not too smooth. Minimum values you can expect for the coefficient of static friction would be in the range of 0.1. From a theoretical standpoint, leather on metal is even more complicated than metal on metal because the leather is a chemically and structurally complex mix of substances that can be expected to change with age, usage, and environment. That said, the tables in the reference will give you some idea what to expect.
