1,Cast Iron Manhole Cover Description :
A manhole cover is a removable plate forming the lid over the opening of a manhole, to prevent anyone or anything from falling in, and to keep out unauthorized persons and material.
Manhole covers are often made out of cast iron, concrete or a combination of the two. This makes them inexpensive, strong, and heavy, usually weighing more than 50 kilograms (110 lb). The weight helps to keep them in place when traffic passes over them, and makes it difficult for unauthorised people not having suitable tools to remove them.
A manhole cover sits on metal base, with a smaller inset rim which fits the cover. The base and cover are sometimes called "castings", because they are usually made by a casting process, typically sand-casting techniques.

5,FAQ:
We have organized several common questions for our clients, may help you sincerely:
Q. Can I fit a square manhole cover into a round chamber?
A. Yes, there are a select few manhole covers which are square-to-round, meaning they will fit square or round chambers.
Q. I have a heavy traffic manhole cover but it has been broken by a forklift, why?
A. Forklifts have solid wheels which apply pressure differently to standard pneumatics and therefore covers must be specially adapted to suit this.
Q. I’ve measured my clear opening size but none of your covers match it, can you offer anything?
A. It’s likely that your cover is quite old and in imperial measurements which are no longer manufactured. However, we can offer bespoke solutions with manhole covers made to the specification you require.
Q. The project I’m working on requires a manhole cover with a quality finish, what’s available?
A. Naturally, galvanised steel of black polypropylene aren’t always ideal, and so we offer brass or stainless steel edging, as well as complete stainless steel covers.
Q. Odours are coming through where I have installed my manhole cover, why?
A. Your cover must be sealed and locked, or neoprene sealed, so you would require a T-Range Cover, or if you require a solid top, a selection of the PC range (e.g. PC2BG3, PC6CG3, not PC2BG) are suitable.
Q. I need access through my manhole cover on a regular basis, is this possible?
A. Yes, the majority of covers have built-in lifting keys, and for those that don’t we also supply lifting keys. However, the best way to obtain easy access is to have a bespoke, hinged manhole cover.

- Metals crystallize but owing to their other characteristics the crystals are rarely discussed. Some metals such as gold are too soft to use if not alloyed. Alloying can deal with substitution of specific metal atoms into the matrix so one might achieve the same strength with a lighter density. Some alloys are made to resist wear by achieving hardness--Read more about (Rockwell Hardness). or precious metal as such as gold and alloys of 12, 14, 18 and 24 karat. Other alloys provide for a more uniform expansion or resistance to expansion. or resistance to corrosion, such as brass or a controlled corrosion such as the patina of bronze
- Q: how to remove paint from metal
- Wikipedia says: Heavy metal (often referred to simply as metal) is a genre of rock music that developed in the late 1960s and early 1970s. With roots in blues-rock and psychedelic rock, the bands that created heavy metal developed a thick, heavy, guitar-and-drums-centered sound, characterized by highly amplified distortion and fast guitar solos. The All Music Guide states that of all rock roll's myriad forms, heavy metal is the most extreme in terms of volume, machismo, and theatricality. Heavy metal has long had a worldwide following of fans known as metalheads or headbangers. Although early heavy metal bands such as Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, and Deep Purple attracted large audiences, they were often critically reviled at the time, a status common throughout the history of the genre. In the mid-1970s, Judas Priest helped spur the genre's evolution by discarding much of its blues influence. The New Wave of British Heavy Metal followed in a similar vein, introducing a punk rock sensibility and an increasing emphasis on speed. In the mid-1980s, pop-infused glam metal became a major commercial force with groups like M?tley Crüe. Underground scenes produced an array of more extreme, aggressive styles: thrash metal broke into the mainstream with bands such as Metallica, while other styles like death metal and black metal remain subcultural phenomena. Since the mid-1990s, popular styles such as nu metal, which often incorporates elements of funk and hip hop; and metalcore, which blends extreme metal with hardcore punk, have further expanded the definition of the genre. ---Hey I know it's long but it's a good description.
- Q: were can i download all the metal slugs???
- I like the pioneers of Nu Metal, Limp Bizkit and KoЯn, as well as some Kid Rock. I don't have an issue with listening to other Nu Metal Bands, I am just not into them. I personally am more into Rap Metal and Alternative Metal.
- Q: I need some death metal songs to learn on the bass guitar.
- Most elements are metals. They are typically shiny, good conductors of heat and electricity, have a high density, and only melt at high temperatures. Metals are ductile and malleable, so their shape can be easily changed into thin wires or sheets. Metals will corrode, gradually wearing away like rusting iron. Nonmetals, are very different from metals. Their surface is dull and they are poor conductor of heat and electricity. As compared to metals, they have low density and will melt at low temperatures. The shape of a nonmetal cannot be changed easily as they tend to be brittle and will break. Metalloids have properties of both metals and non-metals. Some of the metalloids, such as silicon and germanium, are semi-conductors. This means that they can carry an electrical charge under special conditions. This property makes metalloids useful in computers and calculators .
- Q: there is so many different metal genres, what is the difference between them all? Alternative MetalAtmospheric MetalBlack MetalDark MetalDeath MetalDoom MetalElectro MetalFolk MetalGothic MetalHeavy MetalIndustrial MetalMelodic MetalMetalMetalcoreNu MetalPower MetalProgressive MetalRock MetalSludge MetalSpeed MetalStonerSymphonic MetalThrash MetalVisual Keidont have to answer all of them but ones you know what they are like describe them, example- black metal shrieks , and death metal is like cookie monster
- Some people say some Death Metal eg. Deicide is Black Metal because of the satanic lyrics but its Death Metal because of cookie monster vocals. Slayer have satanic lyrics but they are thrash. Even Glam has satanic lyrics (Motley Crue) A lot of Swedish-style Death Metal vocals, lyrics and tempo eg. Dissection are actually closer to Black Metal than Death Metal (Blackened Death Metal) but others are called 'Melodic Death' metal. Then you also get Blackthrash like early Osmose bands. True Death metal is usually slower tempo but not as slow as Doomdeath or Sludge, or as fast as Grindcore, both of which often have duel vocals ie. growling and screaching in the same song. Thrash metal vocals and tempo are usually closest to Power Metal.
- Q: Anyone know of any good metal bands that play with orchestras?
- Thrash Metal
- Q: I have music ADD (lol) I just need some less heard of, but still good metal bands. Just list away please.
- Alkali Metals have a central atom as oxygen and its octet is already filled up by Magnesium atom. So It can gain no more electron. So it have a tendency to loose electron so it is a lewis base..
- Q: Explain how a pure metal is held together. (Include a definition of a metallic bond in your explanation). I'm not so worried about the information in the parenthesis but I do need to know how a pure metal is held together. The more detailed the explanation the better.
- If you're digging melodic and folk music, I think you want to go much older with your metal. I'm talking old blow-the-dust-off-it stuff here: Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Sabbath, even Zeppelin, and see what that does for you. That stuff is actually very folk-influenced itself, and involves much more melody than any of the 'core' genres. Honestly I don't know how people keep up with all these labels nowadays. Post-hardcore, deathcore, snotcore, rapcore, discocore, etc. must get really confusing. Back when those old dogs were doing it (even though most of them are still doing it), it was just called rock or heavy metal and that was that. Anyway, give the dinosaur-core stuff I mentioned a listen, and see if it lights any fires for you.
