Calcium Silicon Powder

1. Description:

Silicon Calcium Alloy is a stable compound; it is supplied in the form of solid with approximate melting point of 1245°C and boiling point 1800°C in normal atmospheric pressure.

Solubility in water reacts with moist gas and water.

Silicon Calcium Alloy is a potent deoxidizer and desulfurizer utilized in the production of high grade steels. Although Silicon itself is a powerful deoxidizer, Calcium is by far more powerful. In addition, Calcium Silicon is used to control the shape, size and distribution of oxide and sulfide inclusions improving fluidity, machinability, ductility, and impact properties of the final product. Calcium Silicon can be obtained in lump or powder form. The most widely used method for intergraded steel applications is in the form of cored wire. This is mainly because calcium has a low density and high reactivity in the ladle making it difficult to introduce and retain in the melt. Cored wire eliminates these variables.

3. Application:

(1) Silicon calcium alloy is an ideal deoxidizer and desulfurizer.

(2) CaSi is generally used in manufacturing steel of high quality and low carbon, and the same as the production of stainless.

(3) CaSi is also served as a starting material for other special alloys, such as nickel base alloy and titanium base alloy.

(4) Silicon Calcium Alloy can also be used as the inoculant of cast iron and the additive in the production of nodular cast iron.

Q:I have played only Metal Gear Solid:3 ..... can anyone tell me all of the names of Metal Gear Solid Series?
I prefer to like underground metal to Mainstream rock and I good Reason why for example: In my home town in october The band Random hand are comming to play the ticket about ?6(in dollars about $11) cheap as chips, they wont sell out, becasue not many people are there Ill be able to meet them after the show and there merchandise isnt that expensive. However In december Slipknot, A very Mainstream band, are comming to play in my home town. The Tickets are ?30(about $50 something dollars) however I think they have sold out and are going very expensive on OKorder, I wont be able to meet them cause of the people and their merchandise will be very expensive. I do like a band for it's music but I just don't like underground bands to get that famous if you get my point. And alot of rock is Mainstream.
Q:A metal oxide contains 74.2% metal by mass. Determine the identity of the metal oxide.please walk me through this
Their very good, but I prefer COD 4
Q:I love Metal......the Heavier the better!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If by 'rust' you mean the redish-brown oxide that remains after oxidation...then the answer to #1 is YES Other metals will not rust unless they contain iron, however they will oxidize( i.e. combine with oxygen and break down)
Q:i don't see how disturbed is nu-metal...like linkin park, korn, system of a down are nu metal but comparing them to disturbed....they are so different.
Metals do not tend to lose electrons in reactions, metals tend to share electrons but it depends on what you define as reactions. Many metals have very limited ductility and very limited malleability but, again, it depends on exactly how you define these terms.
Q:I've been researching facts about metal reactivity for my homework, but can't seem to find any simple, straightforward information, but rather more complicated information. Can anyone provide any simple facts about reactivity of metals?
1.33 Ref means 1 Refined Metal and 1 Reclaimed metal. It's this way because 3 reclaimed = 1 refined, and 1/3 is .33. The .33 is the reclaimed metal, the 1 is the refined metal. 1.66 ref would mean 1 refined and 2 reclaimed. Hope this helps.
Q:Now i am aware that these kind of questions might already exist. But i dont get - i listen to bands such as Linkin Park, Cypress Hill and Twiztid who sing Rap Metal Horrorcore, yet they still have Heavy metal in it. What is the difference between these two?P.S. Does anyone know any good and/or angry rap metal Horrorcore songs?
For a list of heavy metal bands, look here:
Q:First metal song you ever heard? (Dream Theater - Constant Motion)First metal album you ever bought (Dream Theater - Systematic Chaos)First death metal song you ever heard? (Opeth - The Drapery Falls)First death metal album you ever bought? (Mortification - Scrolls of the Megilloth)First black metal song you ever heard? (Horde - Invert the Inverted Cross)First black metal album you ever bought? (Horde - Hellig Usvart) (Yes I know it's Unblack but it's music people!)First folk metal song you ever heard? (Ensiferum - Token of Time (just a guess))First folk metal album you ever bought? (Ensiferum - Victory Songs)First doom metal song you ever heard? (Skepticism - Aether)First doom metal album you ever bought? (N/A)First shred song you ever heard? (Satch - Surfing with the Alien)First shred album you bought? (Satch - Surfing with the Alien)Now let's see YOUR answers!
AC/DC: You Shook Me All Night Long Whole Lotta' Rosie Jailbreak Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap It's a Long Way to the Top if You Want to Rock'n'Roll Rock'n'Roll Damnation Highway to Hell Money Talks Led Zeppelin: The Ocean Houses of the Holy Rock and Roll Black Dog Heartbreaker Living Loving Maid She's Just a Woman Whole Lotta' Love Communication Breakdown Metallica: Enter Sandman Collective Soul: Simple Heavy Shine Precious Declaration New Vibration Ozzie: Crazy Train Guns 'n Roses: Welcome to the Jungle Paradise City Deep Purple: Smoke on the Water Black Sabbath: Iron Man Van Halen: Running with the Devil Motley Crue: Shout at the Devil Def Leppard: Pour Some Sugar on Me
Q:Name your favorite sub-genres of metal and name a few bands from each sub-genre you mention as well. My favorites are thrash metal, metalcore, death metal, deathcore, technical death metal, melodic thrash metal, and melodic metalcore. I don't mind symphonic black metal either, although I have only heard one band (Abigail Williams) that I like so far.
Heavy metal is not a bad enemy anyway. I play for an all-girls-in-bikinis rock band called Charlotte Murphy as the lead guitarist and backing vocalist.
Q:Espially considering that Metal evolves from Sabbath(Original Metal) - Metallica(Trash) - Antrax + Public Enemy(Trash + Rap)=(Nu-Metal )Korn,System of a Down,Linkin Park
Metals are metallically bonded. this means there is a lattice of metal cations surrounded by delocalized electrons. This means that no electron is bonded to any specific ion in the metal lattice. (these ions are nuclei and inner shell electrons). this means that electrons are less tightly bound to the structure of the metal. this is why the photoelectric effect can occur (where light frees electrons from a metal surface completely).
Q:hi . element X melts at a temperature lower than that of boiling water. it fails to react with hydrochloric acid and 1centimeter cube (1 cm^3) of the element has a mass of 1.8g. identify element X as a metal or a non metal. Give reasons to justify your answer. thank you
ALKALI metals: - 1 valence electron, so highly reactive - soft metals - silvery in color - low boiling and melting points - large atomic radi ALKALINE metals: - have 2 valence electrons, still very reactive - shiny, silvery-white colour - when heated in flame, Mg gives a brilliant white flame, Ca a brick-red, Sr a crimson, and Ba an apple green - harder and denser than sodium and potassium, and have higher melting points - found combined with oxygen and other non metals in earth's crust TRANSITION metals: - are electric conductors - have luster - malleable - most are hard solids with relatively high melting and boiling points - because of unpaired d electrons, they can have oxidation numbers of +4, +5, etc.
