Ferro Silicon(FeSi) is a co-product of Brown Fused Alumina during fusion,so also called Brown Fused Alumina Slag. During fusion of aluminum oxide based bauxite, heavy elements in the electric arc furnace goes down to bottom of the furnace. After cooling down, they become silver/grey ores which contain Ferro and Silicon. In our industry, we call them Brown Fused Alumina Slag.

Q: i have been listening to metal for a few years but i still feel like there are a lot of bands i'm missing out on. currently i'm listening to bands like finntroll,sepultura, amon amarth and blood shot dawn. i'm not a huge fan of black metal but i don't listen to to that much so maybe a few black metal bands for beginners would be nice also i'm not really interested in any core bands especially grindcore. Headbanger's roll!: right f'n now there are some brilliant technical death bands around at the moment. modern production quality, innovation and accessability have spawned fantastic bands like Psycroptic and Alarum, and you can hear every note. having said that popular metal has turned to crap. and 70's 80's popular metal bands were heaps better than arch enemy disturbed and the sh*t the industry promotes today.
