- Q: Do you use stand for modeling light or it hand held? I got studio kit with 2 strobes and 1 modeling light. With that i have total 2 light stands. so wondering how modeling light is held?
- Normally the modeling light is attached very near to the strobe tube. The reason for the light is to provide a continuous light source so the photographer can see if there are any unwanted reflections in eye glasses or window glass. I would guess there is some way to mount the modeling light to the strobe head. You need to place the modeling light in a manner that mimics the direction of light the strobe will create.
- Q: I was wondering if I had to get a grow light for my plants or could I just use a regular florescent light bulb or something like that? If not, what is the difference in the light bulbs?
- You can use a regular daylight-style fluorescent bulb. The important thing is light intensity. You can get fluorescent bulbs designed for plants, but in my experience they are not much better than cheap tubes. Always use fresh tubes -- they loose brightness after a few months.
- Q: What is the difference between courtyard lights and street lights?
- The garden lights are for decoration, not very bright

- blacklight is UV light and it is more energitic than visible blue light so i think that there is nothing that will shine in blue light unless the blue lighg is accompanied by UV lights. And also remember that black light don't exist.
- Q: I wanted to buy a light for some plants and I was wondering if a light that has about a 4000K color temp would be good enough, also if it would be better to have two, or just one. thanks:D
- Thats is a marketing ploy. That way they can get the reefers and planted tank money. Ian is right... 6,500 - 6,700 is best. 10,000 is the highest you can go, 5,000k is the lowest. You can mix and match bulbs to whatever colour light pleases you. Other than that I would like to add that petsmart has a T5NO fixture under aqueon. Not HO.. but still better than T12's and T8's.
