FAQ

ok so my mother in law likes to buy us stuff and not tell us until after she buys it (sometimes we get random packages in the mailthe last one was a meat slicer, yeah i dont know either) but she had a pampered chef party, and apparently as part of her hostess rewards she could get a 13 peice nonstick cookware set for half priceso naturally she buys it for meShe just called to tell me, but I won't get it for a while because she lives 4 hours awayI love pampered chef gadgets, I have a ton of themHowever, I have never used their cookwareSoi was just wondering if anyone out there has the non stick setdo you like them or not? and any helpfull tips on caring for/cooking with them?Thank you!
First of all, LOL on the not touching the stoneware! I know what you mean, but if you can find a friend to season it for you to get it past the new stage, you will love using itUsing it: The cookware is wonderful, and your MIL is amazing for giving it to youYou won't want to use any metal utensils in it because they'll scratchUse the silicone scrapers or the nylon tools that you probably already have from PCI use mine every day and sometimes I have to wipe it out to use a piece a second timeI make everything from dinner to scrambled eggs to rice krispy treats in it and it will wipe clean with a paper towel for the most part - that's how good the non-stick isThe coating is baked on (not sprayed), so even if you scratch it, the coating won't flake and peelYou can put it in the oven for oven omelets or skillet cakes, tooThe pans have a heavy-gauge aluminum core so they distribute the temperature of the food really wellAnd a lot of people don't realize that you can use them for DEFROSTING your food too! I will put a package of frozen meat in a pan on the counter (or turned-off stove top) and flip it any time I walk byThe pan sucks the cold out of the food and it defrosts! Caring for it: Hand-wash the pans, lids can go in the dishwasherThe dishwashing detergent can damage the non-stick coatingThey are so easy to clean (except for around the rivets, but you'll be able to live with that because the pans are so nice to use) that you won't have any trouble with hand-washingNormally, there's no need to soak them firstYou can e-mail me through my profileHoller if you need any recipes for itMy favorite is the Turtle Fudge Skillet Cake!
The first 5 ionisation energies in KJ MOL of aluminium are578 1817 2745 11578 14831The orbitals from which the first 5 electrons are removed during ionisation energies, starting with the first electron are1) 1s 2s 2p 3s 3p2) 1s 1s 2s 2s 2p3) 3p 3s 2p 2s 1s4) 3p 3s 3s 2p 2p The answer is number 4.I need an explanation please! thanks!!

Then it got caught on fire (because of the aluminum foil in the food's box)I have extinguished the fire with some bowls of tap waterMy question is, what would happen with the microwave? Will it be broken after what had happened?
Yes, recycling them uses much less power than producing new aluminium.
What is the thickness of foil in mm if a package of aluminum foil contains 50ft squared and weighs 8 oz.?
According to Wikipedia, the density of aluminum is 2.70 grams per cubic centimeter near room temperatureDisregarding any coatings or additives to the foil, and assuming that it is made from pure aluminum, we can calculate the thickness from the information given and the densityI also assume you mean 50 square feet, not (50 feet)^2, which is 2500 square feetOne inch is 2.54 centimeters, so 50 square feet is 50 (2.54 12)^2 50 30.48^2 50 929.0304 46451.52 cm^2There are 28.3495 grams per ounce, so 8 oz 8 28.3495 226.796 grams Let T the thickness (in cm) of the foil226.796 g / (46451.52 cm^2 T cm) 2.70 g/cm^3 226.796 g / 46451.52 cm^2 2.70 g/cm^3 T cm (226.796 g / 46451.52 cm^2) / (2.70 g/cm^3) T cm T 0.001848 cm T 0.01848 mm So the thickness is 0.01848 millimeters, or 18.48 micrometersNote that this is a reasonable answer for real-world household aluminum foilAccording to Wikipedia, standard household aluminum foil is typically about 0.016 mm thick and heavy duty household foil is about 0.024 mm thick.
I planted English Ivy on the sides of my house-it grew well.too well actuallyWhen I pull the Ivy down, the quot;suckersquot; that the plant uses to attached to the aluminum siding leaves dark sticky marksAny suggestions on how to remove these marks without causing damage to my siding? Help!

a)?The thermit reaction shows that aluminium is a reactive metal.?Aluminium is used for door-frames and window-frames.How can both these statements be true?b)?Aluminium conducts heat?Aluminium is used as a thermal insulator. How can both these statements be true?
Aluminum will combine with oxygen faster that any other element. Powdered aluminum is even used as a rocket fuel! That’s what is in the space shuttle’s booster rockets. When you have a piece of aluminum at home, say a sheet of foil, the surface has already oxidized. The surface of aluminum oxide protects the underlying metal from further oxidation so the foil remains inert, even in your oven. In foil thermal blankets, the extremely thin amount of aluminum foil reflects radiated heat. That’s its purpose there. It does however conduct latent heat very well. In your oven at home, you can pick up a hot food item by holding only the thin aluminum foil. This is because the foil is so thin that even if the temperature is, say 400 degrees, the tiny amount of foil that your finger touches does not have enough total heat to burn you.
Hello, about 3 weeks ago I was with a pal getting a puppy from the Humane SocietyI got along great with a woman who worked there (Very beautiful woman mind you) and she was trying to get me to adopt this kitten who was going to be euthanized later, she broke my heart reallyShe told me it was sexually abused (no physical damage) and it was very attached to the people that worked there, loved to cuddle and allI asked how it was sexually abused, it was owned by an older man who rubbed it and put things in itI don't like cats, after seeing this kitten I was almost in tears, it was the cutest kitten i've ever seen, I adopted it :l .She recommended dry food as it was a bit skinny and dry food is more nutritious, but she wouldn't eat it so I had to mix it with canned foodAnyways, she's fine now, only problem is she's always depressedCocoa is about 4 months old, she lays down a lot and stares off and sleepsAlso humps everything when she's upI'm concernedSomeone help pls?

i want it to be round and keep its shape but i also want to be able to sit down and move around a little
Keep in mind you can bake it in a regular round cake pan (be sure to butter it well so you can get it back out) and once it's cooled, cut away the parts that aren't needed to make the heartSave the parts you cut away and use them for making a parfait laterThat is what you generall do when you are making something like a teddy bear cake when you don't have the correct panYou can use your cookie dough but keep in mind the bigger, the longer it will take - and you don't want a recipe for a crisp cookie or it will be tough to cutMrsField's cookie was decorated with icing around the edges and that will cover where you cut.
