Q:I have had the bosch icon wipers for about 7 months and they are starting to streak i was wandering if i bought the bosch excel+ would they streak being brand new? Are they good wipers?
They are good! How often do you clean your blades? You know that no matter the brand you are supposed to clean them as you wash your car right? If you have lots of dusts or sand in your area that will reduce the life of you blades as well.
Q:Friend just called me, she recently got a Ford Focus, not sure what year, but she said her rear windshield wiper won‘t stop running and she doesn‘t know where the switch for it is.Any advice?
Ford Focus Rear Wiper Blade
Q:98 chrysler sebring coupe lxi. I got all the tools. No dumba$$ responses like use a wrench and turn or take it to a shop. Step by step, i never done this on my car and am interested in the automotive industry an want to go to college for automotives. 1 year of highschool left!
Jon The windshield motor is very easily replaced and all you do is from just beneath the steering column is the wiper motor. Useing the right wrenches note the location of the bolts in their areas. Unbolt all of them usually 4 and just pull them out towardsyou. Reassemble the same way as they were taken off.
Q:I just got a new jeep recently and stupidly not thinking I assumed the windshield wiper fluid would go in the same area as my old jeep.I didn‘t know this was on the new jeep where the break fluid goes. So I put in like a tablespoon of windshield wiper then realized it wasn‘t taking the fluid so I stopped since the fluid was just sitting in there not draining into the jug. I then still not realizing this is where brake fluid goes.washed it out with waterand then once I realized everything I took a turkey baster and sucked it all out of there.the what was now water since I washed out the windshield wiper fluid was just sitting at the top still.so sucked it all out with the baster. Is this going to effect my brakes? .such a shitty day
Well water is heavier than oil so some water/windshield fluid may be in your brake fluid.having said that, if you sucked out everything that was in your brake fluid holder I would just fill it up to the full line and see how things work. I would expect your breaks will be fine. But you need to schedule some time with a mechanic who knows his trade to get your brake lines bleed.
Q:on my 1997 hyundai tiburon my windshield wipers don‘t stay down how do I fix that?
you mean they won,t place their self once they are turned off? take the wipers off and replace them at the stopping point.
Q:I‘ve been looking online, but I cannot find the answer to this question. I want to buy some good wiper blades for my 2004 BMW 325i. What size do I need to get? Also what are the best wiper blades out there? rainex? goodyear? michellin? something else? Thanks
I recommend using the factory replacement inserts. The aftermarket blades have a tendency to not conform properly across the windshield. Aftermarket size is 22 left side 20 right side. The factory inserts are usually about 15.00 for the pair over the dealer parts counter- and they usually install them for you for free. I normally replace mine every 6 months or so. Part number for the inserts is 61-61-0-154-440 they can be purchased from www.getbmwparts for less then 4.00 each.
Q:What Is a linkage to a car windshield wiper? How much is it to replace?
The wiper blades attach to a post. The wiper motor moves metal rods that rotate the posts back and forth. The metal rods pivot on plastic bushings. When those break or wear, your wipers either don't wipe, wipe partially, or wipe and stall.
Q:just windshield wiper fluid???
it would wear out immediately if it didn't blow out from the weight of the bike.
Q:im having some trouble with my windshield wiperswhen i turn them on and back off the keep going and somtimes the stop in the middle of my windshield and my wiper fluid motor does not operate all the time eitherbut it dosent do it all the time, kinda like the delay or relay switch is bad or going out
Make sure the fuses are seated properly in the fuse panels, and check all of the connections to both the fluid pump and the wiper motor. It sounds like you have either a bad connection, or perhaps a relay that is failing. Because the wiper fluid pump doesn't operate all of the time either, the possibility of a loose connection to the system, or a partially broken feed wire or failing relay is quite likely. You need to do some trouble-shooting on the electrical system. Pull the relays and clean the contacts on them. Pull the connectors apart and check for corrosion, and also check your GROUNDS for the electrical system. Wipers are set to run when you try to use the wiper fluid pump, and yours sticks on, so it is most likely that the relay operating that system is the root source of the problem.
Q:how do you change a windshield wiper motor in a 1995 ford taurus?
remove wiper arms remove hood there is black plastic under wiper arms under there is a black cover on the firewall with 1 or 2 bolts in it and on the drivers side there is the motor it has 3 bolts and a wire harness also there is a clip on the wiper motor assembly remove then install in reverse
