Q:I have a 2001 Ford Ranger Edge, the windshield wipers, door/seatbelt chime, and odometer/speedometer all stopped working at the same time. I checked all the fuses that would be related to those items (under the hood fuse panel and on the side of the dashboard fuse panel). All of them appeared to be in working order. The guy working at the Ford Dealership‘s parts counter told me it could also be the GEM module. What would cause all of the items listed above to stop working?

The reason the tires say 44psi is that is the max amount of air pressure the tire can safely handle. 26 lbs is way too low. Regardless of what that door jam says. You get horrible gas mileage and eat tires. I would run the psi on the tires at 40 psi and call it a day. Running higher tire pressure will make it ride a bit stiffer, but will be better in the long run for your tires and your wallet on gas.

Q:I have a 2004 Lexus ES330, just bought it used. I love it but the goofy automatic windshield wiper setting doesn‘t seem to work at all. (Why anyone would want an automatic raindrop sensor is beyond me, but I digress). Any ideas on how to troubleshoot it before I take it to the Lexu$ dealer? Thanks!

Usually when the windshield is replaced the automatic wiper sensor is installed without a a gel pad, or incorrectly. If not then the sensor is bad. This part is best installed by a Lexus technician, and is a dealer only item, ie it can only be purchased through lexus.

Q:my man was replacing the windshield wiper when he lost grasp of the wiper hand, it flew back and hit the windshield, breaking the glass. Now it has 3 spidey crack from the original place, the longest is 2 cm. I called two guys and they said i need a windshield replacement. A replacement for that little damage??? i think he‘s just trying to make me go broke.what you guys think? a windshield replacement or repair? It doesn‘t interfere with driving because it‘s right by where the windshield wiper rest. If you don‘t look close enough, you wouldn‘t notice it‘s there but i just want to repair it so the crack doesn‘t grow.

call 3 to 5 of the local tire joints in your area, give them the number on the tire. example P225/55/R16, then buy from one with best price, probably between 250 and 400 dollars if you are in wisconsin

remove wiper arms remove hood there is black plastic under wiper arms under there is a black cover on the firewall with 1 or 2 bolts in it and on the drivers side there is the motor it has 3 bolts and a wire harness also there is a clip on the wiper motor assembly remove then install in reverse

No they don't! Try Rain-X on your windows. The water just beads up and runs off. At 65 mph I rarely use the windshield wipers, unless it is really pouring out. I've used the stuff for over 15 years now, wouldn't be without it!!!

You need a new wiper motor.
