Q:I'm an aspiring artist and think that cutting gemstones would be really cool and fun. Are there any non-expensive tools that I could use to get a feel for the art? I looked online for awhile, and it seems the only way is to grind gems is on a grinding wheel, and that freaks me out somewhat ;-) . Also, what gems would you recommend for my first try? You could, in theory, get carborundum grit (or diamond grit for some stones) and a steel or iron plate and mount the raw stone on a handle (dap stick with dapping wax) and push it back and forth to facet it. You might get one done in a year or so. Go and learn about lapidary and the tools for handling precious and semi-precious minerals.

Impossible without machinery to do it properly mate, get some dumbells and do either dumbell flys or incline chest presses (for upper pec workouts - it's WAY harder than lower pec)

He already has 9 points on his license so these 3 new points for using the mobile are going to automatically ban him for a year.He works as a ground worker and drives machinery ie: dumper truck and roller etcDoes anyone know if he can still drive the machinery???And ideas about how he may get off the 3 points.. can he take a course or something?Any ideas are gratefully accepted.Many thanks

He needs to do everything he can to avoid those points. His companies insurance may not allow him to drive any of the company vehicles (on road or off) with a suspended license.
