Q:I recently had to open a checkings account because my boyfriend wanted to send money to help my mom out with car payments.I'm worried that I won't be able to get as much financial aid as I need if the FAFSA site see's this amount of money in my bank account, because it's not really my money,it's for my mom.So should I just take out all of it or what?
The FAFSA is considered to be a snapshot of your financial situation on the day you submit it, so you must report any money that you have in cash, savings, or a bank account on that day. (Shannon is not correct--the EFC is based on a number of factors other than what is on the tax return, including money in bank accounts, which is why they ask that question). However, the intent of the question is to determine how much your assets are, not someone else's, so if you are holding funds for someone else, feel free to adjust the figure to reflect just the portion that is yours. Of course, if you're a dependent student, you would have to report the amount that belongs to your mom on her part of the FAFSA as money in a bank account (it doesn't matter whose bank account it is--if it's her money, she should report it.). If the amount she receives for this during the year isn't included in the AGI on her tax return, she should report the total on the FAFSA as untaxed income. FA administrators have the power to ask for any document, including a bank statement, if they feel that the information you put on the FAFSA is not correct. However, in most cases they don't request bank statements because it is assumed that the amount of money in a checking or savings account is fluid. People add and subtract money from their accounts all the time, so unless you give them a reason to question your figures, most schools will accept the amount that you enter on the FAFSA without asking for documentation. Incidentally, it wouldn't matter if you took the money out of the bank. The question asks about money you have in cash, savings or a bank account. So, if it was your money, you'd have to report it wherever you keep it. That includes in the bank, in your wallet, under your bed or in a cookie jar. If it's yours on the day you submit the FAFSA, you would need to include it.
Q:Does anyone know what is the best ford year model to get, if I want to add 150hp on it? I heard about chips and after market parts, but I also heard you can still blow up the 6.0L engine or mess it up real bad, and the transmition will not last. Can anyone help me? What do you think is the best way to gain the extra power safely, where my engine and transmition will not fall apart in only two years. Also, I will not switch to any other truck maker.
Can you wait a month? You'll like the new 2008 with the 6.4. The twin turbo is a hoss and they've upgraded the interiors and have some new options with it like navigation and the rear step to get in the bed.
Q:A. It would cause problems with France. B. It gave the government too much power. C. It would be good for farmers and bad for merchants. D. It would hurt the nation's economy.
B. The Anti-Federalists (Jefferson among them) wanted a weak federal government and strong state's rights, a national bank gave the federal government too much power in their eyes.
Q:I work at citizens bank and I hate it. I used to be so nice to the customers and now I just think every customer is just plain dumb. So many people overdraw their accounts and whine about it to me. I understand some people need thier money back of course so im happy to give it to back. Secret is you can get three overdraft fees back per year. That is secret number one of course. But the dumb questions I get. What is pending mean. Or am I going to get a fee if i overdraw my account well yes dumb ***. How come that that check I deposited into my account isnt availible. Well two BUISNESS DAYS for a check that is off us, and one BUSINESS day on us. No Saturday isnt a business day NO sunday isnt a business day. ATM DEPOSITS take a llittle while longer. You deposit in the atm during saturday and then come cry to me about a check that is hold thinking i have the power to just hit a button and make it availiable.
suggest you get out of banking buisness and into social services because banking is just a series of lies so that they can charge more fees and make more money .
Q:1. concentrate power and wealth in the hands of a few2. admit too many immigrants3. discourage the growth of the market economy4. abolish the national bankI seem to be stuck, can someone help me please?
I belive they would concentrate power and wealth in the hands of a few becuase the thing America became great on (gold) was slowly being handed over to banks. In 1913 a bill was passed that gave economic control to three powerful banks. This bill was passed in December and on a day when numerous politicians were with their family, the bill passed. Now the Goverment takes out loans with these banks at high intrest leaving us needing to Police the world and secure the one thing we must keep, Oil. In short, Power goes to those whom have major finacial backing. They make the decicions and we follow. Sorry to ramble on, but this is how I would awnser your question!
Q:I am researching how banking was performed in the 1860s in the Territory of Colorado. I know its a bit unsual, but my son asked me some questions that I could not find answers too about the banking practices. Thank you.
Back then, most people used Masons Bank. That is a jar with a snap on lid, and then buried out back where no one could find it. There wasn't any Federal Depositors Insurance Corporation to protect peoples savings back then. If the bank got robbed or made bad loans, the depositors lost their savings. Based on that, most people did not trust banks. For the people who did deposit money in the banks, the process was much like it is today, except there wasn't any checks or credit cards. You had to come in an sign paper to get a loan to buy something. If the loan was approved, the borrower got cash to go make the purchase.
Q:i tried to make a purchase on OKorder through pay pal. i don't have any credit cards so i use my visa bank card for all transactions. the seller was in canada.my bank put some block recently on international purchases even on pay pal. i called today and asked about it. the lady was very rude and told me it is for my protection and i had no choice in the matter. she didn't have all day to argue with me and if i didn't like it i could close the account. then hung up on me. i offered to sign a statement agreeing not to hold the bank liable for any fraud or Identity theft on my account. i feel like it is discrimination against international trade. it is unethical. i called other local banks and most don't have any policy like this at all and the few that did said that because pay pal insurances transactions through them if it is through pay pal it shouldn't matter where the seller is.
Return power to the consumer and change your bank - times have changed and banks no longer have the power to treat us like dirt. And diss your current bank on the internet for good measure (oh, you already have!)
Q:If you had a Special Power, what would it be and why???
Levitation, flight, invisible forcefield, super strength, telekinesis, and the power to make crappy vampire novels disappear.
Q:I have a camcorder which can be operated without battery attached but AC/DC power adapter with DC output 5.2 V - 1A.From the internet I understand that PowerBank provide 5 V - 1A output.Assuming that I do a modification of the USB cable jack of the power-bank so it can fit to the camcorder hole where the AC/DC power-adapter jack goes in :with this power-bank as a power supply (not for battery recharging) :will my camcorder runs normally just like when it runs from AC/DC power adapter ?If the camcorder runs - is it safe for my camcorder running from the power-bank as it's power supply ?I also wonder, why my battery camcorder is DC 3.5V - 860 mAh not 5V - 1A just like the DC output from camcorder adapter ?Any kind of respond will be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advanced.
If the camera's own adapter supplies 5.2V it should run equally well on 5V. The camera has internal circuitry to drop that voltage to the 3.5V level coming from the internal battery. Your second question is partly answered by that as well. As for the difference between 860 and 1, they are different units. 860 mAh is a capacity for work - it will deliver 860 mA for 1 hour or 430 mA for 2hours. My guess is that the camcorder will draw something like 900 mA and run for slightly less than 1 hour. The capability of the adapter to supply 1000mA does not mean that the camera takes that amount. It is good engineering practice to provide a safety factor: the power supply will not run so hot if it is working below its maximum.
Q:Do they have the power to sell your land without your permission? Is that against the law?Thank you in advance.
That depends on how the POA is written, it can be very specific. But yes, a general POA allows them to act on your behalf, that's the whole point of the POA. You can write a POA so that they may only act if you cannot, or only for specific types of transactions, etc.
