Q:i have an interview tomorrow but have a scafold piercing in , its been in there for about 2/3 months nearly healed competely , how ling can i leave it out for , maybe 30-45 minutes? thanks: They take around 6-9 months to heal completely...you shouldn't be taking it out at all. I stupidly took mine out after 3 months to clean a bit behind the bar and the bar would never go back through the top hole. It hurt like crap and bled profusely if I tried to push it through.

Q:Okay so I got a scaffold piercing about 5 days ago now. I've been cleaning it with Claire's piercing stuff. What I do is I pour it onto a little bit of loo roll and squeeze it all out on where the holes are. I have not been twisting it at all, but my friend told me that I should soak it in warm salty water and twist it twice a day. I have no idea what to do now as I have researched it and some people say that I shouldn't twist it because it will drag more bacteria into it and could get it infected. Also I have massive scabs around both ends of the bar, I've tried to pick them off as they are pretty uncomfortable, but it didn't work as they are rock solid, so how do I get these off? I have no idea what to do, my piercer didn't say anything about twisting it just cleaning it twice a day. Oh and if it helps I'm 13:) Thanks. X: Why are you using Claire's crap? You need to be doing sea salt soaks twice a day for 5-10 minutes each soak with 1/4th of a teaspoon of non-iodized sea salt to 8oz of hot water. Don't twist them as that drags in crust and bacteria and tears up the inside of the piercing. Stop trying to pick stuff off from your ear and go have a reputable piercer check out the scabbing, it could be crust it could be something wrong. If your piercer didn't tell you to do sea salt soaks to keep it clean go to a better piercer.

Q:I know people have different pain thresholds. But I was wondering if it was more painful than a lobe piercing? It will be done with a needle and are they aloud to freeze it? Or is it not needed?: Scaffold/Industrial piercings definately hurt more than a regular lobe piercings because it's in the cartilage area and its pierced at a larger gauge but the pain is bareable. On a scale of 1 to 10 (10 being the worst pain) I would say an Industrial would be anywhere from a 4-6 depending on your pain threshold. Freezing it probably wouldn't be nessesssary. I got a 14g Industrial pierced on one ear and a 16g helix on the other both on the same day (the industrial was done first) and in my opinion the 16g helix hurt more. So it really depends on how well you tolerate pain

Q:i was thinking of having it done. google it if you don't know what it looks like. but i can't handle pain too well, and as i've seen on youtube, its not nice lmfao, i know pain varies from person to person, but any ideas on how to like take your mind off it? im quite young and this is my first major piercing, i only have my lobes done twice;), and does anyone know a good place to find nice barbells once it's healed:)? thanks:)!aaand do you think this is a nice piece to put in once its healed?: Actually getting it pierced isn't all that painful, it's the couple of weeks after that might hurt...but as long as it's looking after properly (cleaned every day) all should be good. Sleeping on it can be painful, so i would suggest you get the side pierced that you don't usually sleep on. As for taking your mind off it, maybe take someone in with you while you get it done? then you can either talk to them to distract you or just squeeze their hand...also try not to look at the needle as this could just scare you, don't worry too much though, it'll all be over and done with in a few seconds and the pain really isn't that bad. As well as making sure you clean it every day, it's also important to make sure you're not playing with/touching it all the time as this could lead to an infection, always make sure your hands are clean before touching it. That industrial bar looks really nice, i would aim on waiting a couple of months before putting it in though maybe even about 4-5 months. Overall i think you should defiantly get it pierced the look really nice, good luck!! :)

Q:On Wednesday day I'm planning to get this done (the top piercing). I've been thinking about it for a while now really want it.What problems can I have with this piercing?How long does it take to heal ect?Thanks =): i've not had scaffolding but i've got a wide range of cartilage piercings and they take about 12weeks to heal... i would just say be careful not to catch it and keep it clean. good luck :)
