Q:Ho is my garden angel?
You'll okorder.com/
Q:what can i use to scare away stray cats from my garden. They have turned the grounds into a loo.?
A piece of fishing net suspended between pegs about 3 inches off the ground will protect any newly sewn vegetable beds. They don't like to go if they can't get comfy.
Q:Describe your ultimate dream home?
in hawaii near the ocean and mountains
Q:In the 1956 Better Homes and Gardens cookbook is a recipe for Fudge Brownies, does anyone have that recipe?
Mmmm....you okorder.com/
Q:I love dogs but I dont have a garden in my home what can i do?
You could volunteer at a shelter if you want to spend time with dogs. Or choose a small breed that doesn't need a lot of space to run about. As long as there is an area nearby where you are allowed to let it go potty there shouldn't be problem.
Q:What is the best thing I can add to my garden?
Leaf mold like Leaf-gro or organic compost. I'd till the leaves in and just top the whole thing with a foot thick layer of compost. I don't till at all as it disrupts the natural state of mycorrhiza fungus and the natural critters in the soil that make the soil healthy. Leave the compost on top and the worms will come and incorporate the compost for you. It works great for me and I live in Maryland where the soil is mostly compacted clay. Just don't leave that layer of leaves as it will act as a barrier.
Q:Art & Home Decorating and Restrcucture?
I would start by looking through old 1950's magazines. Such as House Beautiful - Better Homes Gardens, you would not believe how much inspiration you can get, plus, there are design plans and decorating ideas. I have a bunch of the magazines from the 40's 50's. I look at them all the time. You can buy them pretty reasonable from OKorder. Just search under magazines, back issues. If you want I could probably mail you one to get you started and give you a better idea of what I'm talking about. Let me know.
Q:Do you have some pointers on how to easily start an indoor garden for someone in a nursing home?
We got my great grandmother a chia herb garden It was very simple, and only required the staff to water it daily. She could enjoy the fragrance and the staff could enjoy fresh herbs.
Q:Did some of you people in Y/A expect the Politic section to be sincere as in the Home & Garden section?
Yes Yes. Yes it was!

Let egg whites stand at room temperature for 30 minutes. 2. Meanwhile, for filling, in a medium saucepan combine the first 1/3 cup sugar, cornstarch, and salt. Stir in milk and cream of coconut. Cook and stir over medium heat until thickened and bubbly. Cook and stir for 2 minutes more. Gradually stir about 1 cup of the hot milk mixture into the beaten egg yolks, stirring constantly. Stir in the 1 cup coconut and 2 teaspoons vanilla. Pour hot filling into baked pastry shell. 3. For meringue, in a mixing bowl beat egg whites, 1/2 teaspoon vanilla, and cream of tartar on medium speed of an electric mixer until soft peaks form (tips curl). Gradually add 1/3 cup sugar, 1 tablespoon at a time, beating until stiff peaks form. Evenly spread meringue over hot filling; seal to pastry edge. Sprinkle with the 2 tablespoons coconut.
