If I unplug the 12V car plug, rechargeable built-in battery of GPS lasts lt; 5 mins. I want to use it for walk-navigation. Is it possible to assemble 8x 1.5V AA batteries (12V) and power the GPS? How should I do it? Will it work? Ampere-hour considerations etc?

get a hand held GPS for walking. i use a Garmin. it has features more suited to use in the outback, like waypoints for finding your way back. real time compass for staying on direction. and long AA battery life.

10c determines the power of the battery so unfortunately you can't send a baby to kill a wolf. you can't put a 10c on your model because the battery wouldn't have enough force (or amps ) to push those motors around. At first (first 2 minutes) it would be fine but then it would overheat and possibly swell in fact, you would hear the motors slowing down please do not try to do this because if a lipo battery swells it could catch in fire. If you have a swollen battery please discard it as soon as you can, not in your trash can but outside where fire will not do any damage. the procedure of discarding a swollen battery is to put some water and lots of salt in a cup that you won't use anymore and then drop the battery in the cup and see how many bubbles form when there is no more bubbles comming out of the battery, you can discard such battery because it doesn't have any voltage and it's harmless. better buy a 20C battery which can give more amps than a 10c battery. i made this mistake in the past lol.

If they are 4,000 miliamps, that's 4 amp. You said you need 6,000 watts? That's a lot of juice and money my friend. 60 volts x 25 4 amp batteries would equal the 6000 watt load you need. 25 batteries in parallel, already stacked 16 In a row in series. There are much much better alternatives and cheaper ways of doing this. But if you do decide to, you'll need to know how to run series parallel circuits and keep the wiring even along all batteries with lowest resistance wiring as well to work.

You're on the right track. Just hook your cells in series until you have about 8v or more, and hook them to a 7805 +5v regulator. This will limit the voltage to 5v, but won't be terribly efficient. This will only work if your cells can provide enough voltage under the load your phone will put on them to keep the regulator at 5v. You may need more cells in parallel to increase the current.
