- Q:I own a 2000 Honda Accord. When I bought it (used), it came with 20 inch rims that I really love. The issue I have with them though is that sometimes when I make turns or have many people with me and a lot of added weight, the tire touches the car and sort of grinds. This is obviously not a good thing for my tires. I was wondering if anyone could give me some advise as to how I can lift the car a bit. - This is the o-rings in the transmission fluid pump. The hesitation going into drive is the line pressure taking extra time to build up, due to pressure loss thru the o-rings. This is a very common issue with the Subaru 4eat transmission, and does not affect transmission life. The only way to fix the trans you have is to pull it out and re-seal the pump (its behind the torque converter). This issue was resolved with the 2000 model year.
