i would suggest replacing the pine bedding with lots of hay. it is healthier for the piggie. i do not know if the pine is any good for it either.... hay is the best bet / option.

My daughter is a little older than the average bed wetter but she has trauma from her biological parents (PTSD) and she gets bad dreams that cause her to be so stressed and wet the bed. She wets the bed nearly every night and we had to put her in diapers because it was just too much cleaning pee pee sheets EVERY night. We tried no water before bed and going to the bathroom before bed, but it just isn't working out well. Any techniques you parents out there use to stop bed wetting?

I used to wet the bed past the age of 15 and I wore diapers to bed every night until I was dry. You just can't stop bed wetting. Most of the time is either hereditary or the bladder is immature (slow growing) and it takes time to out grow the stage. My son is almost 5 and wets the bed nightly. I do the same thing right now and put a diaper on him every night. I would continue what you are doing with diapering at night until she gets past this stage. Many kids wet the bed and wear diapers to bed, it's just something that that is really not discussed but you know happens to a multitude of children. Diaper manufacturers would not be making diapers in the larger sizes if there was not a need for it. I would not make a big deal out of it. Stick with diapers and everyone will get a restful nights sleep.

She will outgrow it in time. What you can do now is to avoid drinking liquids 2 hours before bed, go to the toilet before bed and wake her up on the middle of the night to go to the toilet. Meanwhile, place some aluminum foil or plastic wrap on the mattress, add a layer of blanket then the cover. This way if there is an accident, it will be easy to clean and won't get the mattress wet.

I will if I know company's coming over. But most of the time, I just leave the blankets wherever they happen to be.
