Q: I am in the process of building a box and I wanted to use plastic to build it. I want to find a plastic that is strong, yet light weight and durable. The design calls for thinner sheets of plastic. So my question is what type of plastic is strong, thinner, lightweight, and still on the cheap side, and where would I be able to buy this plastic?
At an art supply store. You can get that material that is like those thick, plastic, poster board signs people use for advertising. I can't think of what the official name is. They can also cut it to any size you need.
Q: s. If it takes 1.026 x 10^-4 s for the bullet to pass throuhg the plastic, what average force impeded the bullets's motion through the plastic? please help
Force is change of momentum / time initial momentum of the bullet is Pi = 15*10^-3 kg*300 m/s final momentum is Pf = 15*10^-3 kg*90 m/s change of momentum ?P = 15*10^-3(300 - 90) = 3.15 kgm/s And F = ?P/t = 3.15 kgm/s / 1.026*10^-4 s F = 30701.75 kgm/s^2 (= N) OG
Q: Maybe 48in X 48in
Try a local art/craft store and look for clear acetate sheets. For larger pieces look in the phone book for plastic suppliers or similar. Most of them will sell to public. Home centers have clear acrylic but it may be thicker than what you need.
Q: Can plastic sheets be used for DIY birdhouses?
Yes, plastic sheets can be used for DIY birdhouses. However, it is important to consider the potential drawbacks of using plastic, such as insulation and ventilation issues. Additionally, plastic may not provide the same natural aesthetic as using wood, which is the more commonly preferred material for birdhouses.
Q: Can plastic sheets be used for boat windows?
Yes, plastic sheets can be used for boat windows.
Q: Why is there a gap of 1 mm between the plastic mould, A plate and B plate? Is there a gap between the die and the die?
The mold is certainly no gap between, otherwise there will be flash (Pi Feng), leaving a gap of 1 mm between A plate and B plate is to die between better together, which can avoid A, B plate and mold tight, not tight.
Q: And does this improve stereo sound quality...???
it's just a moisture barrier. ya! be fine. duct tape to mount iffin you don't have the putty. which you can get a roll of at any auto parts store. re-speakers? the barrier does nothing. nothing short of it's own little enclosure will help those. and that's not always possible. -------- speakers are no better than their enclosures. w/o one, or wrong type, might as well hang it in mid air. but don't let that stop you. it's commonly done in doors. just sayin. i have, if the door skin is close to the magnet, afixed/glued 1/8 thick section of press board to the door skin. as much as it can, cuts down on the influence the door skin *may* have on the magnet.
Q: I had a plastic bag in which bed sheets came and it disintegrated in my closet. How could this happen?
There are some plastic bags that will dissolve in water. I suppose if the air in your closet were humid enough, over time the bag could dissolve. I know these bags are used in institutional laundries like those in hospitals and nursing homes, but it doesn't seem likely that they would be used for retail if they could dissolve that easily.
Q: Why does wrapping a house with plastic sheeting, typically Tyvek, reduce advective heat loss?
Tyvek okorder / ...
Q: Are plastic sheets resistant to mold and mildew?
Yes, plastic sheets are generally resistant to mold and mildew due to their non-porous nature and the lack of organic material for these organisms to thrive on. However, it is important to note that mold can still develop on the surface of plastic sheets if there is moisture present. Regular cleaning and maintenance are necessary to prevent mold growth.
