- Q: .Can we charge mobile phone on an inverter / UPS which is used for a personal computer.There are two types of mobile phone charger available.1. Using transformer (old model) heavy weight.2. Light weight charger (using electronic circuit instead of transformer).Someone told me that the out put of inverter / ups is NOT pure AC. That is, not pure sine wave but similar to square wave.If we connect the type 2 (see above) charger to the A.C.output of inverter , then it will damage the charger. (as per my friend his charger got damaged).Could someone technically explain the cause / truth. .
- The cheapest inverters put out a pretty rough square wave. It is possible that this could damage a mobile phone charger as the transformer in the charger is an INDUCTIVE load. As for transformerless (switch mode) chargers, they sometimes don't produce an output at all when looking at a square wave input. Using such an inverter to power a soldering iron or cup heater would be fine as these are RESISTIVE loads and are not affected by waveform. I won't go into the math and magnetic permeability etc. However, you CAN get inverters that are modified sine wave but they are considerably more expensive. These will run your charger just fine. They also have generally higher output power. Since your inverter is running a computer it is almost certainly a modified sine wave inverter and will be OK.

- Go online and report it as lost or stolen. My daughter lost her phone, and after searching for it for a few days, we reported it lost. Virgin Mobile offered her a new (upgraded) phone for the cost of shipping (about $10 as I recall). Aside from the shipping charge, she didn't lose any money off of her account. - Yes,you would simply visit the T-Mobile store and take them your phone. Tell them you want to activate it with pre pay, and they will set up service and get you a new sim with a new number.

- i think their great, i mean we live in a model world, you can contact anybody really quickly and efficiently as long as you have their number and battery etc. It does it annoy me when your out at a restaurant having a nice meal and a mobile keeps on ringing and lil kids playing their ringtones really really annoying me apart from that their really helpful and great as long as their not used so much it become antisocial to the people your with.

- as long as the phone has a sim card slot you can use it no matter what. tmobile, att and some verizon phones, and unlocked ones all work as long as they have the slot.

- yes it is, i've done it before. it would be impossible to do that with a t-mobile phone or att since they use SIM cards, but virgin mobile, sprint, verizon, and cricket all run on CDMA. but cricket won't be able to flash it for you, some cricket stores do but non that i've been too, you'll have to look up online for stores in your location that will flash it for you. let me explain what flashing is. flashing is basically re-wiring your phones hardware to work with another service provider. there are two kinds of flashing, full flash and partial flash. FULL FLASH: this means that when your phone is fully flashed to work on crickets network, talk, text, pix, web etc will all work. PARTIAL FLASH: this means that ONLY talk and text will work some phones can be both fully and partially flashed, some phones can only be partially flashed and not fully flashed, and some phones cannot be flashed at all. it all depends on the phone, and the store you take it to. just write down the phones model and company (LG, motorola, etc) and call the store you want to go to and ask them if they can flash it. if you want it fully flashed, make sure you clearly specify that you want it FULLY flashed. fully flashing a phone will be more expensive that partially flashing. full flashes can typically go anywhere from $40 to $70 dollars. this all depends on the phone, and who you go to, to get it flashed. there are people on craigslist sometimes who can flash phones, but i would choose a business over a random dude on craigslist anyday so yes it is possible, depending on the phone

- Buy a GSM phone for $40. (Google GSM) Then you have to buy a sim card that works in England. (Another $40). I think you can pre-load it with money or the card will charge your credit card.
