Properties:
Manganese has a melting point of 1245oC,specific gravity of 7.2.Ordinary manganese is a hard and brittle gray-white metal .It is chemically reactive and slowly decompose cold water. Manganese metal is ferromagnetic after special treatment.
The main application of electrolytic manganese metal flakes:
Manganese is an important alloying agent. It is added to improve the strength, toughness, stiffness, hardness, wear resistance, and hardenability of steels. Together with aluminum and antimony, especially in the presence of copper, it forms highly ferromagnetic alloys. Manganese dioxide is used as a depolarizer in dry cells and as a decolorizing agent for glass that has been colored green due to iron impurities. The dioxide is also used in drying black paints and in the preparation of oxygen and chlorine. Manganese colors glass an amethyst color and is the coloring agent in natural amethyst. The permanganate is used as an oxidizing agent and is useful for qualitative analysis and in medicine. Manganese is an important trace element in nutrition, although exposure to the element is toxic in higher quantities.

- there is death metal: a documentary, but its not the best. A headbangers journey is really the best one there is but I would recommend one called Until the light takes us. its all about the black metal inner circle in norway during the 90's and the groups promotion of extreme violence, suicide, church burnings, etc. its not death metal, but interesting none the less. I know there's a number of black metal documentaries out there (their names are slipping by me at the moment), but i dont think there are too many death metals ones. Another one you might find interesting is Modify. you've probably already seen it, but if not check it out. not at all about music, but instead body modification, but still phenomenal. hope this helps.
- Q:i have been listening to metal for a few years but i still feel like there are a lot of bands i'm missing out on. currently i'm listening to bands like finntroll,sepultura, amon amarth and blood shot dawn. i'm not a huge fan of black metal but i don't listen to to that much so maybe a few black metal bands for beginners would be nice also i'm not really interested in any core bands especially grindcore. I figure im mostly in the melodic and folk stuff but i wouldn't mind getting into some of the harder bands though. if anyone can help it would be much appreciated
- all the black metal subgenres i know of Black Metal Raw black metal symphonic black metal melodic black metal NS black metal (i don't consider it a real genre since the only difference is the lyrics) Pagan metal (again, only difference is the lyrics with the occasional flute solo) Unblack metal (again, only difference is the lyrics) blackened death metal (although i consider this more death metal) Depressive suicidal black metal (some people don't consider this a real sub genre, but i do. listen to Forgotten tomb and you'll hear how different they are from, say, gorgoroth) Ambient black metal Then of course you can just mix pretty much any genre with black metal like black/doom metal black/thrash metal black/folk metal black/progressive metal

- Death Metal can have a lot more emphasis on the guitars and has a lot of growling vocals unlike heavy and screamo. They can also have darker themes to their music. - Q:They need to put in a metal section. I mean, they have Jazz, Rock, Rap, Country, ect. But no Metal. Metal might be a form of rock, but metal an rock are 2 different things. Who else agrees?
- Lich King, Skeletonwitch, Agalloch, Opeth, Lamb of God, Eluveitie, Wintersun, Black Dahlia Murder, Obscura, Necrophagist, Evile, that's about the best of the modern metal (in my opinion, of course). Then you have classic bands like Death Angel, Iron Maiden, Megadeth and Testament all making modern comebacks. I'm more of an old school metalhead, so I'm not the most informed in the new world of metal.

I have also noticed that a lot of Prog and Goth metal have darker lyrics and they usually say something, tell a story, etc. Unlike Top 40.
