Q: Whats the difference between Death Metal, Melodic Death Metal, Deathcore, Doom Metal and Black Metal?: Hair Metal was the term used for the power ballads of the eighties/early nineties. Nelson made power ballads just like Poison and Cinderella and Bon Jovi. Manson blurs the line between what was called industrial and metal. His themes of Satan and the grotesque put him clealy in metal, but the music comes more from the Nine Inch Nails and other underground music of that cloth. Limp Bizkit are not true metal, but is considered nu-metal. Rap was a part of that movement. The important thing to realize is that labels tend to limit and restrict creativity. Artists should be free to do and we free to like or dislike.
