I ran out of tape but I still have wrapping paper and gifts to wrap ASAPWhat should I do
Aluminum electron configurationAluminum has a neon core (1s2, 2s2 2p6)Write [Ne] and then follow it up with the next energy sublevel, the 3s, and then the 3pThey must accommodate the three valence electrons of aluminum[Ne] 3s2 3p1
Today in chemistry we did an experiment on the reactivity series and single displacement reactionsAt one point we had to put aluminum into copper(II) sulphateAccording to the reactivity series, aluminum is more reactive than copper and should displace it from its ionic compoundBut after a very long time, there didn't appear to be any reactionWhat's going on?We used aluminum foil as our aluminum metal sample, so that may have something to do with it.
As you say aluminium is more reactive than copperBeing so reactive, it forms a coating of aluminium oxide at the surface of the metal which not only sticks well to the aluminium, but is impervious as wellThis happens quite naturally with oxygen from the airSo the copper sulfate can't get through to the Al metal to react! That's why it doesn't have the reaction you correctly predicted.
My boyfriend just caught some King Salmon and we baked two fillets last night and only ate oneI'm not that into plain baked Salmon it's a little dull for meAny ideas for Salmon recipes? I was thinking about using the left over fillet and making Salmon tacos or somethingwhat do you think? Would that be good? Do you have any other suggestions for left over baked Salmon? Also, I think we still have one more uncooked fillet so ideas would be greatly appreciated!
I don't think you have a bent valve.Just a valve sticking in the guide.Whoever did your cylinder head work did not do such a good job.The only way a vale is gonna bend is if it hits the top of the piston.Your cam is fairly mild so i wouldn't think valve reliefs would even be necessary in the tops of the pistons.Either way,if it was a cam lift issue it should be in every cylinder, not just one.The distributor advance/retard is going to effect ignition only.It has nothing to do with anything your having a problem with.Bottom line is heads gotta come back off and go to machine shop that knows whats upSounds like it oughtta be a pretty nice machine.I know this sucks, anyone who messes with cars knows sooner or later it will give you trouble, just don't get discouraged and give up.
I am enrolled in a Designs class at the university and we need to have 12 samples of different texturesIn general, what are some unique texture ideas?
Here are some ideas that might help: carpet, netting, tree bark, corrugated carboard, crumpled up newspaper, onion skin, aluminium foil, linen, orange peel, bubble wrap, leather, foam rubber, polystyrene packaging, plant leaves, silk, rusted metal, linoleum, sandpaper, .
I just performed an experiment in which I tested the effectiveness of electromagnets made with copper, aluminum, and steel wireI need to know the reasons they performed the way they didI think it has to do with the fact that copper and aluminum only have 1 and 3 electrons, respectively, in their outer shellsHowever, I'm not sure how this actually affects their effectiveness in transporting electric current.
the greater the number of electrons in the outer shell the better the conductivity, that's why silver is better than copperouter electrons vibrate more and are more likely to conduct electricity than those in inner orbitals
I need help, why is aluminum a metal and carbon is not?
Aluminum always is a cation, whereas carbon is generally an anion, although it can occasionally be 4+Or in other terms, when aluminum forms a compound, it will always donate some of its valence electrons (3) which is characteristic of a metal, whereas carbon will accept some of the valence electrons (4) of the element(s) it bonds with which is characteristic of a nonmetal
Hi I need something that I can use to cut thin aluminum from like pop cans and also something I can use to cut plasticsI need the cutting to be precise and I need to be able to cut organic shapes, not just straight linesAny suggestions would be appreciatedThanks!
Why would they? And why is this an issue for you?
On a periodic table, how do you find the number of valence electrons after group 8? I know group 1 has 1 valence, group 2 has 2, and so on, but what about when you get up to group 9, 10, etc?
you can use a cookie sheet or baking dish but you must use a rack to keep it elevated so it doesn't sit in the juices and the fat will catch fire.
