Hi,Just wonderingI love Saturns, always have for the past 10 yearsThis isn't about why I shouldn't get a Saturn either :)I was wondering, is the Enhanced Performance Package worth the extra $995? Defined as:Enhanced Performance PackageIncludes ECOTEC, 2.4L 4-cylinder MFI aluminum engine with 175 hp 6200 rpm and 164 lbs-ft of torque 4800 rpm, 3.91 axle ratio (Auto only), Ride and Handling suspension, 4-wheel antilock brakes with traction controlINCLUDES JM4.Is this going to save me money in fuel? or spend more? I know the brakes and traction are a big plus though.just don't understand the engine specs bonuses. Thanks
Ionic compounds are composed of a positive (cat)ion and a negative (an)ionMetals generally form cations, while non?metals form anionsexcept for ammonium and hydrogen, which are non?metal cationsCalcium and Aluminium are both metals and therefore form cationsCa2+ and Al3+ would not be able to ionically bond because they both have the same charge Aluminium can be alloyed with other metals but Calcium cannotThis rules out the possibility of a metallically?bonded compound.
Well my b-day is coming up and I'm inviting 6 or7 girls over and I need some fun games to play I only have a couple days so please help

Are there any heavy paper stocks with reflective properties like aluminum foil?I was thinking of crafting some lamp designs possibly, and need the rigidity of a thin cardboard for it to stay together, but reflective qualities of aluminum for the light.Any ideas?
Paper and card stock is available with shiny aluminum/silver finishSuggest you try printers supply for poster stock and maybe gift paper sources, as well as art supply
1Why is it a good idea to sand the surface of a metal if it is not shiny? 2Al is more reactive than zinc and some people think that Al3+ can cause deleterious health effectsWhy might it be a bad idea to cook acidic food in an aluminum pot? would it be better if the pot is shiny and freshly sccrubbed or if the pot has grown dull while being stored for a few weeks? What in the world does metals being shiny not shiny have to do with anything? someone explain :(
1pure metals are shiny unless their surface has oxidised to form the metal oxide on the outside, as in the case of sodiumsanding the surface of a non-shiny piece of metal will make it shiny as sanding will erode away the layer of metal oxide that has formed, leaving the yet-to-be oxidised inner layer of metal exposedthis is the same concept for de-rusting, or removing rust from a piece of iron or steel; when you use products which claim to remove rust from a piece of metal that has rusted, you are in fact removing only the layer of rust on the surface of the metal and exposing the untainted metal underneath 2it's a bad idea to cook acidic food in an aluminium pot as the high temperatures required for the cooking process can and would aid any reaction between the aluminium and the acid in the food, contaminating the cooked food and thus causing the alleged deleterious health effects in the questionit would be better to use a pot that has grown after non-use for a few weeks as pure aluminium on the surfaces of the pot will readily react with the oxygen in the air to form a layer of non-porous aluminium oxide (Al2O3) on the exposed areas of the pota unique property about Al2O3 is that it is impervious to air and will protect the unreacted aluminium beneath it from further reaction with O2Al2O3 is also stable under high temperatures and so will not react with the acidic food during cookingthis way, the food will not be contaminated and be safe for consumption but please, do not sand away the protective layer of Al2O3 before cooking and wash the pot with soap and warm water before use )
I seem to recall people of that era volunteered for a community based neighborhood watch, along with kids being instructed to gather up scrap metals to help aid in the building of weaponryWas this act a for of Nazism.Any thoughts on this one? Is this anything that sounds familiar to recent election events/thoughts?
The gathering of scrap metal happened during WW 11 in AmericaIt was aluminum peeled from cigarette packages into big balls and sold for the end the war effortThere were American Air Raid wardens in most towns and sirens that went off signaling to turn lights off at night because of a possible air raid attackI lived on the east coast, and remember talk about German subs being spotted by fisherman right off of Americas shoresIn America it was called Patriotism, because we were all committed to ending the war as soon as possibleI don't know what they called it in Germany, or Europe.
Taking my truck to the muffler shop to install a new exhaust systemAll the tubing is 409 stainless steel, but the muffler is a flowmaster, and flowmasters are aluminumIm assuming they are going to weld everything together, but is it possible to weld aluminum to stainless steel.

Tomorrow I want to make creme caramel in a 8 inch round aluminium cake panThe recipe says that after I make the caramel, I pour it into the pan and let the caramel set before pouring the cremeMy question is: Should I grease the pan before pouring the caramel into it? Or do I just pour the caramel into the pan without greasing it?Help me! I really don't want the caramel to stick to the pan after I invert it into a plate :(
Try typing Pennsylvania Dutch cheese cake into the searchI make a lot of cheese cakes and have not come across one like you describeWith a pound of cream cheese and 4 cups of milk (not cream) there would be at least 6 eggs and it would make a very large cheese cake The only one I found is below: Pennsylvania Dutch Cheese Cake 1 cup sugar 2 tablespoon flour 1 lb cream cheese 4 each egg 1 cup half half 1 teaspoon vanilla 1 single pastry Line a deep pan with pastryMix flour and sugar together; add the cream cheese and mix thoroughlyBeat eggs slightly, add the cream and vanilla and combine with first mixturePour into pastry shell, which has been baking at 400-F until starting to brownRemove only long enough to pour in fillingReduce heat to 325-F and bake for 40 minutes Source: Pennsylvania Dutch Cook Book - Fine Old Recipes, Culinary Arts Press, 1936Yield: 1 servings My Grandmother made something like this and called it cottage pie.
