Q:i have a plain dell laptop. when i stick the charger in, it wont charge. the only way it will charge is if i push it against something so the charger will be on an angle. is there any possible way i can fix it?
Wow, how did it come off in the 1st place? well, unless its a mac, most laptops uses the universal type of charger so if you have another laptop at home you can also use that charger. the third prong is earth, and its kinda dangerous without it so i suggest you stop using it. and since it cant charge your battery you really should change the charger. of course there is no no need to get a new laptop, its just problems with your charger(: hope that helps^^
Q:Are laptop chargers universal? (in other words, can i use my laptop charger on any laptop?)
thats a big negative, works just like cell phone chargers you can't just use any old one. Slight differences, in voltage will cause them not to work.
Q:Can I charge 2200 mAh batteries using a charger rated for 800 mAh batteries.Conversely, can I charge 800mAh batteries using a 2200 mAh charger?Thanks
There is not a simple answer to your question. It really depends on the charger design and the type of battery. I am assuming you are actually talking about cells. Although we all call cells batteries, a battery actually consists of two or more cells connected together in series to produce a higher voltage. Generally speaking however you can do either (especially with modern day chargers). If you use a lower capacity charger to charge a higher capacity battery, it will simply take longer time to fully charge the battery. If you use a higher capacity charger to charge a lower capacity battery, the circuitry inside the charger should limit the output current to a safe level. A higher capacity charger will not be able to charge a lower capacity battery any quicker however. If a battery has more charge current applied than it is designed for, it will overheat, damaging the battery, and possibly explode! That isn't an exaggeration, I have seen it happen a few times and in fact I've done it myself while playing around. I at least kept a safe distance away, unlike a co-worker who nearly lost a thumb about 25 years ago. The above is just for informational purposes only, based on my knowledge and experience of 35 years working in the electronics industry, and not to be considered as anything other than general guidelines. To give any more specific help, I would need to have a bit more information. You are welcome to blast me an e-mail with more information and I will do my best to be of assistance. Hope this helped a bit. Good Luck!
Q:I have lost mine so do i have to find the specific charger for my phone or do they all use the same kind or can i even buy 1 of those 1s that will fit any phone ?
Hello; okorder
Q:I lost my Nikon D40 charger and I was hoping I could use my friend's Canon DSLR charger to charge. Both are beginner DSLRs so I thought maybe it's the same. And if it fits, it wouldn't affect the charger/battery would it? Thanks.
You don't understand. Each charger and battery combination are specific to each other. That means that only the type of charger intended for a specific battery should be used. There are safety reasons. Using the wrong charger can cause over heating, fire and even explosion in certain cases. This has burned down some structures in the past and is really a stupid way to try to charge any battery. Do not, and I cannot emphasis this strongly enough, do not attempt to charge any battery with a charger not intended for that specific battery.
Q:I just bought a Kodak Z981 and they gave me a wall charger kit with it. I inserted the batteries correctly and plugged it in with an apparatus for european sockets (and the apparatus does work) but the light on the charger just doesn't come on. What might be wrong with it?
Have you verified that the charger works with European power? 50Hz, 220V isn't the same as US 60Hz, 110V. Most modern transformers do conform to most power situations, but not all. If the light isn't coming on, one of 4 things can be wrong: 1) the wall socket is dead, 2) the adapter isn't working, 3) the charger doesn't do European power, 4) the charger isn't working. Q:after all, the Chargers are the most talented team in the NFL, bar none.
The Chargers may well beat the Bengals. It isn't until the playoffs that the REAL Charger team will be exposed as the douchebag posers of the NFL. PS: Only a complete moron would predict a score of 52-6 against the Bengals. Can't wait to laugh at Charger fans after they go home crying in January AGAIN!
Q:i have an hp laptop its just over a year old and the warenty is out ): the charger wont work it works every once in a while but now it isnt working even if i jiggle it. So pretty much when i plug the charger into my computer i can move the charger but i dont think im moving the insides of the computer can you help me has this happened to you im gunna cry
You probably need to buy a new charger. You can search and buy a new one on Amazon. They're usually around $10.
Q:i need a dell d630 charger but they say that universal chargers dont work on dell so i need to know wich stores sell them n nyc
Hmm, okorder
Q:hey thereI want to use a battery charger as a transformerWhat's the difference between a charger and a transformer.?can they be interchanged? Obviously voltage, amp , wattage needs to be the sameI know this much.butcan a charger be used as a transformer?.why or why not?cheers
A charger is a unit with a transformer supplying about 50% higher voltage than the battery it is to charge, which is changed from alternating to direct current mode by rectification using diodes. So all chargers contain a transformer, which could be used in isolation. A transformer on its own simply steps down(or up) the applied voltage and is ac. in and ac out. It works by the alternating current changing magnetic flux and cannot work on dc.
