Q:It looks like a plastic, but I know there is a specific name for it.And maybe if you know the name, what big brand stores sell them?thank you soooo much for any help!
Photo gels, and none. They're a specialty item
Q:For this project I'm working on (Its a robot head I'm making from an old football helmet), and I need to use something for the eye screen piece (Sorta like the eye scanner thingy on the cylon helmets). Something black tinted,see-through (Without every thing being blurry), and most importantly bendable.Do you know where I can find such a thing?
Tinted Plexiglass
Q:Are plastic sheets resistant to impact from hail or debris?
Yes, plastic sheets can be resistant to impact from hail or debris depending on their thickness and composition. Some types of plastic sheets, such as polycarbonate or acrylic, are known for their high impact resistance and durability, making them suitable for protecting against hail or debris damage. However, it is important to note that the level of resistance may vary depending on the specific type and quality of the plastic sheet.
Q:What I want to build is a cube made out of semi-transparent acrylic sheets with a lightbulb ballast screwed down to the floor of the cube and the electrical cord leading out. This will look really cool because it will be a soft white light cube that can be used even as a side table. I don't know where to get the acrylic sheets or how to attach them to each other. I imagine using epoxy, but if anyone has better ideas please provide them. Thanks!
I would have to say I am about to see through an expression pretty good. Someone was recently looking at a photo I had also seen and thought the smiles looked off and they were but the photo was of people trying to have a semi-sarcastic conversation as they stood there pretending to be something they were not. The smiles were actually the artists' representations of discomfort. I am that type of person who sees the story behind the photo. I would add what the photographer was thinking in how he/she framed the photo but that has little to do with the smile accept in this case the people in the photo know exactly from what angle they are being shot. When you see that in real life it is quite disturbing to notice that the person in frontof you is putting on airs to play to an audience of which you are one. I have seen that quite a bit in people trying to be powerful. I tend to see them and not like what I see. But, then after talking with them i can see if it is simply me not liking them or if there is really something wrong with them. It could be both.
Q:Can plastic sheets be recycled into new plastic products?
Yes, plastic sheets can be recycled into new plastic products. The recycling process involves collecting the plastic sheets, cleaning and shredding them into small pieces, melting them down, and then reforming the molten plastic into new products.
Q:The balcony with what material decoration?
First of all, should be in the wall pop-up mark high wire, at both ends of the wall fixed pressure line, with cement nails and wall fixed firm. The plate is cut according to the actual size of the ceiling. The plate is inserted into the batten, and the panels are opened outwards. After installation, the nail is fixed and then inserted into the second plate...... The last piece of plate should be cut according to actual size, use a sharp knife to cut, cut down with steel wire, loading a bending plate can be inserted into the upper rabbet, Bahrain on both sides of the sealing strip.
Q:I want to insulate my floor in my house if i do so do i put up a plastic sheeting after i put in the insulate?
i agree with most of the answers , but if you insulate between the floor joists you dont have to go through the added expense of insulating the side walls of a crawl space as there is no heat under there anyway. you can use faced insulation but push the paper side up to the surface of your floor and not facing the ground...vapor barrier of some sort would be helpful
Q:I am making paintings (fine art) that can be painted and lifted like large decals. I have used 6 mil shipping plastic, This works great, but is hell to format and non-permanent. I need to identify and locate a more stable substitute. (Clear plastic sheeting; large solid sheets that watersoluble paint will peel off of.)I would think the same thing tupperware is made of (polypropylene), but cannot find it in flat clear sheets. Does anyone know what the clear painters pallettes are made of (melamine?) and if it is sold in sheets to the public? I have been trying to put a finger on this for over 2 years--any help or leads out there?thanx
Check out Home Depot or Lowes if you have one around. Plenty of things there.
Q:PC plastic PS plastic what is the difference between attention is the difference?! Come and answer
Common products: Stationery, cups, food containers, household appliances, electrical fittings, etc. PC is the abbreviation of polycarbonate,PC sheets are especially suitable for making glasses lenses, and the introduction of silica groups into PC molecular chains can improve their hardness and scratch resistance. PC as a high refractive index for the production of plastic core material of high temperature resistant optical fiber, if in the molecular chain of PC C - H C - F chain chain is replaced, can reduce the absorption of visible light, can effectively reduce the loss of signal transmission way. In addition, PC has good transparency. It is widely used and has potential in transparent window materials, high-rise building curtain walls, airports and stadiums, transparent building materials, etc. in the future, the emphasis will be on improving surface hardness and antistatic properties.
Q:I got a new tripod for my camera recently and would like to convert my old one into something resembling a nightstand or tv tray; I was thinking of using a board or flat surface with a nut or something similar attached to the bottom that would be the right thread size to screw onto the tripod. The idea would be to have a platform/tabletop surface that could have its height easily adjusted up and down; I know they make things like these, but I'd rather not pay $85.00 for a 15 inch piece of plastic that's ready-made to screw on to tripods (like this: http://amzn.to/9k4i2N) or $150.00+ for an adjustable end table (like this: http://amzn.to/a6UExN) when I can probably make something very similar myself for less than 5 bucks with the right equipment. problem is, I'm not very handy with this type of stuff and don't really know how to go about attaching a threaded hole to a board or what type of threaded hole I should even be looking for. I figure it can't be that hard, though. Any help?
I've made specialty 'adapters' for several tripods to correct lens focal length (in virtual tour productions), by making a slim molding from wood, that mimics the profile of the camera 'wedge' that locks down on the tripod. The wedge can be screwed into whatever 'shelf' material you want from there. That top is then removable, but still fairly secure, provided you don't overload it. Mine was easy with the table saw (for the angles), but perhaps you could make one with a hand saw? Good luck.
