When will you libs finally realize that it get HOT when you say global warming not COLD. He had to cancel a conference on global warming due to in-climate weather. It was actually a Snow Storm. - Q:Afternoon!I'd like to make some patches which are printed directly onto plastic, which can then be backed with heavy duty velcro. Rather than credit card type width think more along the lines of a thin mouse-mat, but with velcro replacing the foam.Is this something that I can do from home with any deal of realism?Would I need to print onto the surface and then finish it in some way after?If there is some sort of online resource for this and you would be so kind as to link me I don't mind researching, I'm just only able to see printing to credit cards in my searches.Many thanks for any help!
- That's a job best done by a professional printing company as they have the VERY expensive equipment to print ontp plastic, then add a suitable backing. it's not something that you could do with equipment on a size and budget to have at home
- Q:the little plastic sheet inside the microwave is slowly peeling off, its just a little plastic sheet, is it dangerous?
- When a microwave degrades it is time to get a new one..When plastic sheeting peels away from the chasis there is likley to be metal behind the sheet..The plastic often acts as a shield and will not attract the microwave frequency.. You may develope a hot spot and cause damage and even create fire.. Do not use is my reccommrndation..
- Q:I had to put a plastic sheet over my garden because it has been raining non-stop. If I leave it up when the sun is out, will the UV rays be able to pass thru it?
- If it is clear plastic, remove it. This could magnify the suns rays and burn your plants. If it is colored plastic, I doubt the rays will go through it.

- That depends on the melting point of the plastic in question. It would be good to experiment with just one before you make big plans.
- Q:I have an 08 Hyperlite Era board that has a big problem. the top plastic sheet is peeling off at the edges and it is dragging in the water bad. i dont want to buy a new board but i cant fix it. I have already tried a permanent epoxy-resin but it was destroyed after the first use. I am now thinking of shrink wrapping a resin type plastic onto the whole edge but i dont know what i am doing. Does anybody have any suggestions?
- The easiest way is to joint compound over the peeled areas, then sand (wet sanding is much neater) prime and paint. If the damage is really bad, you'll have to cut out the bad piece, screw in a new one, tape the seams, then sand and repaint.
