It all depends on the child. My oldest daughter slept by herself at 2 in a toddler bed while my middle girl will not sleep by herself. Ask him which he prefers. Good luck!

Q:I am looking into a bunk bed that converts into two twin beds. I have a 18month old and a 4 year old. The 18month old climbs out of bother her crib and pack n- play. I would def put her on the bottom with a bed rail on the bed. But does it still seem to young? Space is a huge problem for us right now. I like the metal silver beds vs the wooden seem like they would hold more weight? Any suggestions FIRST TIME BUNK BED EXPERIENCE.

We bought bunk beds for our kids at about the same age as your children, we also had space issues. 18 mths is good time to move to a big bed with a side rail. I would suggest getting a set with a removable ladder. Our son loved to climb and we had to take the ladder down or he was always on the top bunk. Our daughter had no problem climbing up the end of the bed to get up to the top.

If you buy a platform bed - DON'T use a futon mattress, they're awful to sleep on. Buy a good quality pillow-top mattress, they're are made so well now days that you really don't need a box-spring.

I have both. My dogs bed is in there crates. It provides a soft spot for them to lay. My golden loves her crate and frequently goes there too get away from everything. (LOL) Including my Pit Bull. My Pit knows that is her space and does not enter into her Bedroom instead my Pit goes into her own bedroom which is side by side and set up with a dog bed.

Q:I know a question similar was asked before but I need a somewhat specific answer of what I need to do/what products to buy. I have a 21 month old daughter, and we've never referred to the crib as a baby bed, although, essentially that IS what it is. But when referring to the crib, we have referred to it as the babies bed. or when she is sleeping, we say she is in bed, or she is her bed sometimes, rather then she is in her crib. Then there is a stage where you put them in a miniature bed before actually into a twin size bed. That bed is referred to as a toddler bed. I wouldn't say baby bed is incorrect English. Of course, correct English would really depend on how you used it in the whole sentence. It's just not a phrase that is used. Hope that helps :)
