1,Cast Iron Manhole Cover Description :

manhole cover is a removable plate forming the lid over the opening of a manhole, to prevent anyone or anything from falling in, and to keep out unauthorized persons and material.

Manhole covers are often made out of cast iron, concrete or a combination of the two. This makes them inexpensive, strong, and heavy, usually weighing more than 50 kilograms (110 lb). The weight helps to keep them in place when traffic passes over them, and makes it difficult for unauthorised people not having suitable tools to remove them.

A manhole cover sits on metal base, with a smaller inset rim which fits the cover. The base and cover are sometimes called "castings", because they are usually made by a casting process, typically sand-casting techniques.

 5FAQ:

We have organized several common questions for our clientsmay help you sincerely

Q. Can I fit a square manhole cover into a round chamber?

A. Yes, there are a select few manhole covers which are square-to-round, meaning they will fit square or round chambers.

Q. I have a heavy traffic manhole cover but it has been broken by a forklift, why?

A. Forklifts have solid wheels which apply pressure differently to standard pneumatics and therefore covers must be specially adapted to suit this.

Q. I’ve measured my clear opening size but none of your covers match it, can you offer anything?

A. It’s likely that your cover is quite old and in imperial measurements which are no longer manufactured. However, we can offer bespoke solutions with manhole covers made to the specification you require.

Q. The project I’m working on requires a manhole cover with a quality finish, what’s available?

A. Naturally, galvanised steel of black polypropylene aren’t always ideal, and so we offer brass or stainless steel edging, as well as complete stainless steel covers.

Q. Odours are coming through where I have installed my manhole cover, why?

A. Your cover must be sealed and locked, or neoprene sealed, so you would require a T-Range Cover, or if you require a solid top, a selection of the PC range (e.g. PC2BG3, PC6CG3, not PC2BG) are suitable.

Q. I need access through my manhole cover on a regular basis, is this possible?

A. Yes, the majority of covers have built-in lifting keys, and for those that don’t we also supply lifting keys. However, the best way to obtain easy access is to have a bespoke, hinged manhole cover.

Q:Hi!I was wondering what processes does it take to turn elements into metal (I don't know what im talking about). i'm planning to make a record and the title album is going to be a posh term of making/process of making metal.so if you could pls tell me a posh/fancy terms of making metal(like steel, iron or such. not the actual music genre).thanks
Heavy Metal is a style of rock music dating back to the late 1960. It came about musically because of the publics reaction to folk rock .Folk Rock had just a soft volume of acoustic Instruments and at the the time it also had no meaningful lyrics.Heavy Metal started to reach its peak in the early seventies. When we had groups like Iron Butterfly, Led Zeppelin and Deep Purple were popular. The musical style of these groups relied on extremely loud volume coming from banks of speakers. This in turn was an essential part of the their sound was feed back in which by playing directly into a speaker. H/M music also relies on loud and heavy accented drumming and repetition on all instruments.A typical vocal effect of Heavy Metal is shouting or screaming, this is to get the voice heard above the instruments. Some other names of H/M groups are Anthrax,Escape,Iron Maiden,Metallica , Twisted Sister , and Vow Vow. These are just a few of many more .
Q:So, I just bought the Metal Gear Solid HD Collection. I haven't played any of the other Metal Gear/Metal Gear Solid games, but I've been reading plot summaries of it online. Will this be enough for me to understand the game? Also, should I play Metal Gear Solid 2 or 3 first?
I think it's pretty cool. Nice work man.
Q:does anyone known any good metal instrumentals, open to metalcore, metal, hardcore, deathmetal anything heavy or some good metal bands that play instrumentals
KP, I believe Evanescence is closer to metal than Leaves Eyes. It is not because of my preference for Evanescence. In Sweet Sacrifice, you hear those heavy guitars in the background behind Amy Lee's voice. They are much heavier and much more chuggier than the guitars in Leaves Eyes. Leaves eyes seemed a little too light to be considered metal, well the guitars. Now whether Evanesence is considered metal at all, that's a debate. I think so, but not many people. I guess because Evanescence is mainstream and metal is supposed to be underground? Makes no sense, in my opinion they are metal. I hope I helped with my answer KP. EDIT: I think I am the only one that claimed Evanescence as being more metal than Leaves Eyes. hmmm maybe I was missing something. One time on RP I said Evanescence was goth rock and I got flamed BADLY! Now everyone is saying Evanescence has that goth rock feel....errrr I said that before people! I'm gonna be honest Evanescence is NOT symphonic metal, and they aren't the heaviest band out there nor are they near it, but they seem to me that they just BARELY make it into the metal genre, they do make it but they are on thin ice with it. Leaves Eyes didn't cut it for me, and I bet that all these people saying Leaves Eyes is more metal than Evanescence is biased because of their overall general hatred towards Evanescence. I tried to make an unbiased opinion but I don't think everyone else was doing the same.

In the Scientific Community, Hydrogen is accepted as a non-metal. One of the most common reason's for this is because Hydrogen is a gas (at room temperature). But u would probably say that mercury that is liquid(in room temperature) but also considered a metal. Experiments that justify Hydrogen's placement among st the Alkali Metals include very low temperatures and very high pressures, at which Hydrogen acts like a metal, being more electrically and thermally conductive than silver. But it is so far not judged as metalloid. But no can actually say that it is metal or non metal. Hope I can satisfy u with it. If further confusion feel free to ask.

Q:When a metal oxide react with water the following occurs :Na2O(s) + H2O(l) -gt; 2NaOH(aq)The oxygen generally ends up as the hydroxide ion, separate from the metal. When a non metal reacts with water the following occurs :CO2(g) + H2O(l) -gt; H2CO3(aq)The oxygen ends up as part of the nonmetal species.a) Give another example from a non metal oxide to support this generalization.b) What connection is there betweem this contrasting behavior of metal and non metal oxides and ionization energies?Thank your for the help
Screamo - song that screams as a minimum 25% of its tune with an alternative sounding beat or a beat computing device. Emo lyrics Hardcore - Guitars downtuned, shouted vocals, little attention dropped at instruments Metalcore - more replacement and melodic then different metal, includes each screaming and clean vocals Deathcore - Guitars downtuned to at least Dropped B, involves growls, screams, and mainly brees (pig squels), relies on breakdowns Emo - sluggish, about sadness or love Nu metal - Hip Hop influenced heavy metal
Q:Are metals crystalline? Explain.
Metal is to rock as rock is to blues, basically. At first, when it was first emerging in the late 60s and early 70s with bands like Blue Cheer and Black Sabbath, it was indeed just a sub genre of rock; however, that was a LONG time ago, and is no longer the case. It has since grown into it's own, independent genre, with numerous INCREDIBLY varied and distinct subgenres.
Q:For homework I need to Answer quot; How do I know Iron Is a metal?quot;quot; How do I know Copper is a metalquot;quot; How do I know helium is not a metalquot;quot; How I know sulphur is not a metalquot; quot; How I know Gold is a metalquot; quot; How I know aluminium is a metalquot; If you could answer all of them differently that would be the best! And I would love you forever!
Power Metal - I have respect for bands in this genre, especially the male singers. Like Metalcore however, I find that most Power Metal bands blend together after a short period of time. Death Metal - LOVE IT! Black Metal - Love it, especially Symphonic Black Metal like Old Man's Child and Vesania. Thrash Metal - I have to be in the mood for most Thrash Metal, but Lamb Of God are great. Metalcore - Every band is the same. Boring. Doom Metal - Bands like Virgin Black and Draconian rule this sub-genre. I definitely like the Gothic Doom Metal bands more. Deathcore - Only TBDM and Job For A Cowboy, everything else is just the same. Stoner Metal - A little more variety needs to be present in this genre. Groove Metal - I don't listen to a lot of GM, but it is definitely interesting.
Q:i know ambient, atmospheric, raw, and symphonic black metal, what are other genres and what are their features and difference ?
well, first i think we need to examine the correct definition of an ionic bond. (if you are not literate in chem terminology, you may get slightly lost). first of all, all elements bond to achieve noble gas configuration (octet rule). each element has a different electronegativity level (the ability to grab electrons as a neutral atom). fluorine has the highest electronegativity because it is small (can grab easier). why not helium? because helium's nuclear charge is not very effective against other atom's electrons. so, what does this have to do with bonding? when two elements bond together, if the difference in their electronegativty is 0 - roughly 0.4, then the molecular or covalent bond is considered nonpolar (neutral). the electrons are shared evenly. if the electronegativity between two atoms bonding is about 0.5 through ehh, about 1.7, then the electrons are shared unequally, and the molecule is considered polar. when the electronegativity is greater than 1.7, the electrons are shared so unequally that more electronegative atom appears to steal the electron from the electronpositive atom. this creates what is called an ionic bond. it typically does form between metals and nonmetals, with their relative location to fluorine on the periodic table. however, ionic bonds could be between two nonmetals that have great electronegativity differences. for example, i know that boron tends to form covalent bonds with nonmetals, even though it is a metal. im sure if you googled this, you could find examples of two nonmetals ionically bonded, but i have explained why it is possible.
