1,Cast Iron Manhole Cover Description :

manhole cover is a removable plate forming the lid over the opening of a manhole, to prevent anyone or anything from falling in, and to keep out unauthorized persons and material.

Manhole covers are often made out of cast iron, concrete or a combination of the two. This makes them inexpensive, strong, and heavy, usually weighing more than 50 kilograms (110 lb). The weight helps to keep them in place when traffic passes over them, and makes it difficult for unauthorised people not having suitable tools to remove them.

A manhole cover sits on metal base, with a smaller inset rim which fits the cover. The base and cover are sometimes called "castings", because they are usually made by a casting process, typically sand-casting techniques.

 5FAQ:

We have organized several common questions for our clientsmay help you sincerely

Q. Can I fit a square manhole cover into a round chamber?

A. Yes, there are a select few manhole covers which are square-to-round, meaning they will fit square or round chambers.

Q. I have a heavy traffic manhole cover but it has been broken by a forklift, why?

A. Forklifts have solid wheels which apply pressure differently to standard pneumatics and therefore covers must be specially adapted to suit this.

Q. I’ve measured my clear opening size but none of your covers match it, can you offer anything?

A. It’s likely that your cover is quite old and in imperial measurements which are no longer manufactured. However, we can offer bespoke solutions with manhole covers made to the specification you require.

Q. The project I’m working on requires a manhole cover with a quality finish, what’s available?

A. Naturally, galvanised steel of black polypropylene aren’t always ideal, and so we offer brass or stainless steel edging, as well as complete stainless steel covers.

Q. Odours are coming through where I have installed my manhole cover, why?

A. Your cover must be sealed and locked, or neoprene sealed, so you would require a T-Range Cover, or if you require a solid top, a selection of the PC range (e.g. PC2BG3, PC6CG3, not PC2BG) are suitable.

Q. I need access through my manhole cover on a regular basis, is this possible?

A. Yes, the majority of covers have built-in lifting keys, and for those that don’t we also supply lifting keys. However, the best way to obtain easy access is to have a bespoke, hinged manhole cover.

Q:a major difference between metals and nonmetals is that metal atoms lose their outer electrons whereas nonmetals prefer to gain electrons. Why is this statement true. Please explain.
Doom metal: Candlemass My Dying Bride Solitude Aeturnus Gothic metal: Type O Negative Theatre of Tragedy Beseech Poisonblack Death metal: Nile Autopsy Death Melodic Death metal: Dark Tranquillity Carcass Arch Enemy Avant-garde metal: Behold The Arcturus Celtic Frost Mr. Bungle Black metal: Ancient Beherit Mayhem Dissection Folk/Viking metal: Cruachan Finntroll Korpiklaani Grindcore: Napalm Death Pig Destroyer Hardcore: Agnostic Front Walls of Jericho Heavy metal: Iron Maiden Judas Priest Danzig Industrial metal: Ministry Mortiis Metalcore: Himsa Trivium Car Bomb Nu metal: Otep Slipknot Power metal: Amaran Dark Moor Kamelot Progressive metal: Queensryche Evergrey Dream Theater Stoner metal: Kyuss Orange Goblin Drone metal: Boris Earthride Sludge metal: High On Fire Acid Bath Bongzilla Thrash metal: Overkill Exodus Anthrax The thing about metal is that some bands kind of cross over sub genres. You have bands that are death mixed with doom, black metal mixed with thrash, death mixed with grindcore, folk mixed with viking. Some bands do not keep just one style or sound. Bands like Amorphis start out as one sub genre then change to another.
Q:92;m/ i love metal!!!!!!!!!
Copper, Tin, Zinc, Magnesium, Nickle, Silver, Gold, Platinum
Q:Eg: hardcore, death metal, heavy metal, screamo.... Etc
Groove metal is a subgenre of metal which is slower and relies more on groovy rhythms rather than on fast thrash riffs. In many cases groove metal features downtuned guitars (in man cases also dropped tunings) and it is usually in mid-tempo. Also, groove metal usually features harsher vocals than in thrash metal and overall the sound is heavier. Groove metal examples: Pantera, Sepultura (later), Machine Head, Exhorder etc. BQ: Thrash metal BQ2: Death metal BQ3: Alt metal BQ4: none
Q:anyone listen to good metal/death metal/grindcore?
heavy metal: fear of the dark - iron maiden *live* *victim of changes* - judas priest *heaven and hell* - black sabbath thrash metal: hanger 18 - megadeth seek destroy - metallica souls of black - testament madhouse - anthrax radiation sickness - nuclear assault groove metal: cemetery gates - pantera progressive metal: the metropolis part 1 - dream theater black rose immortal - opeth death metal: spirit crusher - death black metal: i am the black wizards - emperor the somberlain - dissection power metal: keeper of the seven keys - helloween lost in the twilight hall - blind guardian planet hell - nightwish extreme metal: nymphetamine - cradle of filth *hope the list not too long* =) a big metal fan
Q:NO U.S. METAL PLZ
Just about all of it is metal, technically. We just wanna make a distinction between what metal fans actually listen to, and the teen pop bullshlt metal. There does not exist those metal fans you're talking about, who think singing doesn't belong in metal, they're all trolls, I never met a person in the real world who thought that way. Nobody says power metal isn't metal, nobody says symphonic metal isn't metal, long standing genre's like these have earned their place.
Q:How do you predict if a metal ION will react with a metal ATOM?
metals tend to have just one or two free electrons loosely bound. the S, P, and D orbitals aren't tight, and as such, the metals are most likely to lose the electron. the non-metal can emit as well, but given that it takes far less energy to remove a metal electron, the metal electron is likely to be the source. it's kind of like putting a piece of paper up against a piece of steel. sure, if you can punch through the steel, then you'll see your hole. but you will almost certainly punch through the paper before then.
Q:I need 3 examples of ANY metals or non-metals and their uses, as question and answer. For example:Q: What metal is used in lightbulbs:A: Tungsten
Heavy Metal usually refers to the traditional style of Heavy Metal that was originally formed by bands such as Judas Priest and Iron Maiden. Black Metal usually has dark lyrics that consist of sorrow, hate, and anti christianity. The vocals are very raspy screams. Black Metal bands include Cradle of Filth, Bathory, Burzum, and Xashur. Death Metal usually contains lyrics from hate to rage to blood and gore. Death growls are very common in this genre. Some Death Metal bands are Death, Obituary, Kataklysm, and Dying Fetus. Melodic Death Metal though consists of different lyrics that don't always talk about blood and gore. Melody is heard throughout the songs. That is the genre I would most recommend for you to listen to. Try listening to bands like In Flames, Soilwork, and Eternal Tears of Sorrow. I think you might like these bands.
Q:Any good nu-metal or alternative metal bands?
Here goes: Deep breath! Heavy Metal Metalcore Mathcore Thrash metal Black metal White or unblack metal Folk metal Death Metal Melodic death metal Power metal Sludge Metal Progressive Metal Alternative metal Nu metal (which sux) Grindcore Industrial metal Goth Metal Glam metal Scandanavian death metal Speed metal( there is a diference between speed and thrash metal even though some people may argue) Rap metal(Just as bad as nu metal) Groove metal Doom metal Post metal Neo classical metal Stoner metal Viking metal And I cant breath out.
Q:i've been listening to thrash for almost a yr now.. just wanted to try out black and death metal bands.. pls post some good black/death metal bands along with must try/good songs or albums..
im......will you help me....or will sombody help me...please!!!!!!! Click on my name and see my chem questions ! Thank you so much ahead of time!
Q:I've been wondering, what came first? The song quot;Metal Militiaquot; by Metallica, or the brand Metal Militia? And is Metal Militia a Metallica owned brand?
How old are you? Uhh.. Try Ikuinen Kaamos, Emperor, Immortal, and Ulver. Edit: man, that sucks. When I first started listening to black metal and death metal, my parents weren't to happy about it. But then they found that it hadn't really changed me and now they don't care. Emperor's newer stuff and some of their older stuff doesn't really have too much of the satanism goin' on. And Immortal doesn't have any thing to do with Satanism, I think. Or you could try Dimmu Borgir...
