1,Cast Iron Manhole Cover Description :
A manhole cover is a removable plate forming the lid over the opening of a manhole, to prevent anyone or anything from falling in, and to keep out unauthorized persons and material.
Manhole covers are often made out of cast iron, concrete or a combination of the two. This makes them inexpensive, strong, and heavy, usually weighing more than 50 kilograms (110 lb). The weight helps to keep them in place when traffic passes over them, and makes it difficult for unauthorised people not having suitable tools to remove them.
A manhole cover sits on metal base, with a smaller inset rim which fits the cover. The base and cover are sometimes called "castings", because they are usually made by a casting process, typically sand-casting techniques.

Q. Can I fit a square manhole cover into a round chamber?
A. Yes, there are a select few manhole covers which are square-to-round, meaning they will fit square or round chambers.
Q. I have a heavy traffic manhole cover but it has been broken by a forklift, why?
A. Forklifts have solid wheels which apply pressure differently to standard pneumatics and therefore covers must be specially adapted to suit this.
Q. I’ve measured my clear opening size but none of your covers match it, can you offer anything?
A. It’s likely that your cover is quite old and in imperial measurements which are no longer manufactured. However, we can offer bespoke solutions with manhole covers made to the specification you require.
Q. The project I’m working on requires a manhole cover with a quality finish, what’s available?
A. Naturally, galvanised steel of black polypropylene aren’t always ideal, and so we offer brass or stainless steel edging, as well as complete stainless steel covers.
Q. Odours are coming through where I have installed my manhole cover, why?
A. Your cover must be sealed and locked, or neoprene sealed, so you would require a T-Range Cover, or if you require a solid top, a selection of the PC range (e.g. PC2BG3, PC6CG3, not PC2BG) are suitable.

- I don't understand. it just dont seem right. Yes, it's okay I guess?; i mean, ur question sounds too vague to make any sense; Anyway, I prefer thrash, power, and death, not black. Because I'm more of a shred/technical dude, and black metal bands rarely play solos, plus they sometimes want to play poorly on purpose to be more trve(with the exception of blackened death, symphonic black, etc.)

- Yes, Rust = oxidization, so the question should be what metals oxidize and that's most of them. But, to actually rust the metal has to contain iron, because iron oxidation is the process that creates rust and is unique to iron. That limits it to iron and its alloy (metal combined with other elements) steel. According to Wikipedia: Rust is a general term for a series of iron oxides, usually red oxides, formed by the reaction of iron and oxygen in the presence of water or air moisture. Several forms of rust are distinguishable visually and by spectroscopy, and form under different circumstances. - I don't know! But, metal fillings can contain Mercury. It can leach into your blood stream. My mouth is full of them. If I had the money I would have them replaced with the newer white filling.

- Brutal Death Metal and Grindcore. I find it immature and generic, there's no rhythm to it, the structures are hard to follow and the music is way too repetitive, there's much much much better Death Metal out there. Raw Black Metal Poorly produced music nuff said, much much much better Black Metal out there. Glam Metal Boring pop ballads, lame party songs, most of the bands have the same lyrical themes, BQ Too many to name.

- Thats a tough question for me.....I like a lot of bands from America (Throwdown, Pantera, Hatebreed, LOG, etc) but I love a lot of bands from other places in the world (Soilwork, The Haunted, etc).......personally, I think both have really produced great metal bands....but for the sake of the number of bands I listen to that have come from America over the years compared to elsewhere, I will have to go with American Metal....although I do greatly agree with you on European Melodic Death Metal bands.... edit: After reading some of the other answers, I want to clarify that I am not just talking about metal today, but throughout the years...
