Q:Which is better to graduate from a crib.... Toddler bed or twin bed (with railings of course)? And how do you know when a toddler is ready to graduate from the crib? I'm getting ready for a new baby so I'm pondering this stuff early.

Buy your toddler a twin bed, for the first week or so, put the mattress only on the floor. That way if they make their way to the side of the bed they won't fall very far. As they get comfortable with their new boundaries then add the box springs and then the frame.We did this with our daughters when they graduated from the crib to their very own specially for them big girl or boy bed. To know when they are ready for a bed is when they start climbing out the their crib. Good luck!

Aspen Bedding works just fine, actually it works great. I highly recommend using this substrate because it is easy to spot clean and is easy to clean up. This substrate also will not smell unless you clean up feces around the enclosure. Also, do not mist this substrate as it can grow mold when damp and it does smell bad when wet. I suggest cleaning out the enclosure every 1-3 months, but it's always nice to have a clean cage so doing this monthly would be just fine.

Q:I have 2 boxers who love to share a dog bed. I've had several beds in the past and they just break down and flatten! The beds from Pet** and PetS**** just aren't any good.I've been told LL Bean and Mammoth have good beds. Help!

i've had beds from all four of those places and the best thing i ever did was go buy one of those foam mattress tops for a human bed. once my 'orthopedic' dog beds broke down i simply opened them up and re-stuffed them with the foam and it made a sturdier bed that was so much better on the joints. and they lasted about 2 years before i had to replace the insert i made. it's a cheaper and better quality alternative.

Q:i really like the high malm bed, but it only comes in black. the original malm bed is a little bit lower to the ground than the higher malm bed, but there's more color choices. is the lower malm bed too low to the ground? is it an awkward height? please just give me advice or a review on the malm bed. i'd really love to get it for my room.thanks

The malm beds are really nice and I don't think that they are too low to the ground, but I understand if you don't want a bed that low because its kinda short. My bed was also too short for my likings so I just got a box frame to put under the mattress and that really added a lot of hight, so I'm sure you could do something like that. If you really want thet high one I would suggest not to paint it because they already come so nicely made, but I really don't know what you like. This is just my input, I hope I helped though!

Q:I just bought a new bed and a mattress set. The mattress is a Sealey pillow top really nice. I love the bed and it is not a high bed but when they set it up the box springs made the bed come up to my waist. I feel like the princess and the pea this bed is way to high. I mean I have to climb to get on this thing. I called the store and they told me they can give me a low volume bed spring and it would lower it about 4 inches really is that really enough to bother with cause I am going to have to pay somebody to swap it. What can I do?

If the height of the bed really bothers you then you must do something about it. Four inches is a significant amount when you are trying to get in bed.

Q:~Is it okay for a guinea pig to eat their bedding? (Not hay, I mean the Carefresh kind.)~Can I buy hay bedding in a pet store? (More likely Petco?)

Guinea pigs sometimes eat small amounts of bedding. Your piggie should not be eating large amounts. Hay should not be used as bedding. It is not absorbent and becomes wet and stinky very fast. Carefresh, aspen shavings, or KILN DRIED pine shavings work well. Do not use regular pine shavings or cedar.
