Q:Epoxy resin when the ratio of curing agent than the high proportion of what impact?
Curing agent will increase the speed of curing more, put less curing time will be slower. But do not be higher or lower too much, whether it is more or less, excessive will appear false curing. That is what you said after curing is not hard
Q:Ceiling light fixture lost that tin foil like layer. Is that bad?
Most likely, the insulation is fiberglass and not a fire threat. However, the foil backing is to deflect light and heat downward, so it is best to replace, and generally easy to do.
Q:How to insulate basement walls and ceiling with framing already there?
For the walls use fiberglass kraft faced(paper on one side) and no plastic or unfaced insulation with plastic. R-11 or R-13 for 2x4 walls. For the ceiling, I wouldn't bother with it. Instead add a radiator to the basement area and add a new pump and thermostat to create a new zone. Otherwise the basement would only be heated when some other area of the house needs more heat, this usually makes the basement too cold or too hot.
Q:The felt ceiling in my car is falling down. I have scraped most of the residual glue off but cannot get it on?
you need to take the head liner backing down , its held up by some screws or clips, careful not to break it, then go to a good automotive store and get some HEAD LINER adhesive , its made for the job work where you have plenty of room follow the directions then put it back in the car a second person to take out & put back in is helpful
Q:radiant or fiberglass insulation for a dropped ceiling?
Leave it - taking it out won't warm your main level enough to do any good. The fiberglass insulation is also insulating your main level. It's also a great sound barrier. Just leave it. The pains you'd go through trying to pull it out would be much more than what it's worth anyways... That fiberglass is nasty stuff! You'll be iching for days, I swear... It's just plain nasty.
Q:What kind of materials do you need to decorate a house?
Fittings: plumbing wire woodworking board gypsum board fir board line cement yellow yarn and other main materials: floor tiles and the like and then include hardware finished furniture
Q:help! Finished drywall on a ceiling and you can see the seams?
One problem I can see is that your joints may not be flush which makes the problem worst. If they are level with each other, apply your tape and then apply an 8 wide coat over that feathering the edges. Let dry and lightly sand rough spots. Go back over with a 10, resand to where it looks smooth but don't worry about divits or small blemishes. Finally Go over it with 12 knife with a tight coat. Your basically putting it on and taking it off with more pressure just to fill in any blemishes. Then lightly sand. Make sure to use lightweight joint compound for finishing. If it is uneven, you must do a coat on each side of the joint, sometimes 3 or 4 rows of mud to get it to where you cannot feel a ridge running your hand over it. Remember the wider that you feather it out, the smoother it will look. As for texturing, you can leave it smooth if you want. But texture will hide small blemishes. You can use knockdown, popcorn (acoustic) or stomp the ceilings with a pattern. Use flat paint afterwords.
Q:How do I repair an old ceiling surface that is cracked (it is not sheetrock)?
I would say go up to the attic where you made the initial damage. Where the damage was made, go to the opposite side of the wood, and use a box cutter to cut through, should cut enough to see it in the bathroom. Do this on each side of the wood beam, opposite side of the damage. Then go down to the restroom, finish cutting through, ( make sure no wires, pipes, etc are not in way) Cut along beams, then across to other beam, making a square or rectangle. Try not to break up the cut out piece. Keep it and get the exact measurement off another sheet rock slab. Cut the new sheetrock and secure it to the wood beams. Should be exact fit, don't worry if not perfect. From there, get some joint compound and fill it in nicely. Sand down after dry if needed...If not same thickness just add more compound to match it up.
Q:You would have chosen to join the huts?
Wooden houses in Europe and the United States is very popular, especially in North America, wood structure building system since 1830 has dominated. Each year, more than 90% of the new 1.5 million to 2 million houses in North America use wooden structural systems. Which lasted for centuries, the wooden structure of the building with its a series of superior characteristics, so that residents living in North America enjoy the world's highest standards of housing.
Q:What is the that yellow stuff under the foil of ceiling lighting fixtures?
Yes the business owner is absolutely right. It is fiberglass. That is added as a safety feature. It keeps the risk of fire away. Don't remove it!
