Q:how can i make my office chair cushony again? the way i sit flattens the cushoining
You probably need to buy a portable chair cushion or just get a new chair. My experience with chair cushions is that when they break down they don't go back to being cushy again.
Q:does anyone know where i can get a colourful / patterned camping chair, i go camping quite alot with scouts and want one that will stand out , my last chair broke and i cant seem to find anything simalir
I like to fold up camping chairs that you can get from stores, they come with their own carrying case and the fabric is water proof and holds up well. As for being funky, I like to get one already made and decorate it myself, I do sewing but it is not worth the bother to recover a chair, instead I use fabric paint (bottled and spray on). I have even super glued patches on the back (no stitches because it can weaken the fabric)! Do you know an artist in the family that can paint the orders' mascot or troop numbers on the back? Have fun!
Q:I have this really greata office chair that my neighbor was just oging to through out... it has some tears in it ...and i am unsure of how to go about fixing it. the material isn't close enough to stitch... my mom suggested getting a peice of fabric to cover it and stitch that to the chair...i honestly dont care about the looks just that i dont ruin it more... would a regualr needle and thread hold against leather if i just put a peice over it...
There is a repair kit that you can buy that is painted on. You can prob. find it at Walmart. or any hardware store. Or cover the entire thing with fabric. good luck!
Q:what is the purpose of chairs being attached to desks ? like the ones you see in some high schools ..
It's so they are always together otherwise chairs or desks would be taken from rooms and pairs would not be available. Also, being together makes a chair/desk combination more compact than a desk and a chair if separate.
Q:I have had a desk chair for a couple years, and the part where i sit has gotten completely flat. Now whenever I sit the bottom is hard and uncomfortable. Does anyone know any good office chairs with wheels, that are comfortable, and the will last around 5 years?
I just got the SAYL chair (herman Miller). there are many office chairs by commercia/corporatel manufacturers that are extremely long wearing. There are dozens of manufacturers-you can do a search for office... or look at some office oriented design magazines see who the chair manufacturer is.
Q:I hate this chair! There is only one control item--a lever, and I've never used it at all. Yet my chair is a different height every other week. This morning I found it so high, my feet don't touch the floor and I can't figure out how to lower it! I've moved the lever in and out and every which way, but the chair doesn't budge.
Some old chairs adjusted just by screwing in and out of the central column. Since yours has a lever, this is probably not the case. If you have never used the lever, then we can't be certain what it does, but on most I have used, pulling up on the lever while seated should allow the chair to lower. Pulling up while off the chair should allow the chair to rise. Some I have seen also let you push or pull the lever to lock or allow the back to tilt some. If you have tried this, the pneumatic cylinder may be shot. Likely just need a new chair.
Q:I have heavy aluminium chairs around a table on my outdoor patio, see http://www.norths .za/cat6.php?catID=7 My patio floor comprises unglazed tile, and the chairs are hard to pull out to sit on and once seated, to slide toward the table. The ends of the legs are round +- 18mm (3/4 inches). I have tried felt pads - no good - they wear away in days. I have tried hard plastic caps - a little better - but still difficult to move. What can I do to allow the chairs to slide easily.
Have you considered casters(rollers) They should be available for 3/4 legs.
Q:The chair in the corner of the room hasn't moved in ages and I can feel it looking at me. Maybe I can invite it to a animal-balloon clown party!!
it feels left out! you never move it! do u even sit in it anymore? huh?! you should definetly invite it to your party! it looks up to you so much! you should include it in fun things!
Q:I found this picture in a home-type magazine. I absolutely adore the chair in the corner. Unfortunately, I have no clue what type of chair it is. (I read the magazine in Barnes Noble but didn't have the time to purchase it, and no, I do not remember the magazines name)If you know what the chair is called, please link a photo of it (it doesn't have to be exactly the same chair, but it has to look a LOT like it.)If you've seen it in a magazine (it is near the back, and is not a big picture and it may or may not be an advertisement. This picture is actually cut off, the whole thing also shows another chair and a painting. I think.) and you know the name of the magazine, please tell me.
It is very hard to see, but the other pieces in the room are all period reproductions The desk looks Empire or Louis 16; the sofa has chippendale/Queen Anne legs (what I can see of it). If the chair has carving around the frame it is most lilkely a Bergere chair.
Q:I need to find some big comfy chairs. I will not be using those expensive pedicure chairs like the others. What we will be doing is setting up regular chairs and at the foot of the chair we will be putting really nice bowls. HELP!!!
NY is known as The Big Apple because long ago a famous folk hero (Johnny Appleseed) planted a single seed in the middle of the city. Then, in a strange warp in space-time, a boy named Jack planted a seed he believed to be magical in the same spot. In what is still considered a marveling biological advancement, the two seeds fused together on a molecular level. After an impressive rain, the seed hybrid grew into an apple 300ft tall and approximatively 330ft wide. The strangest thing being the absence of a tree. It seems the apple was completely normal, except it grew straight from the ground with its own roots like a beanstalk of some sort. For decades to come, people would visit the city and look up at the impossible fruit and think that is a big apple. After a while people began referring to the city itself as The Big Apple. But then, 1943 Oct 11th, something strange happened. As the city laid to rest, the night once again upon them, there was a blinding flash of red light. The flash lasted for nearly 4-5 seconds. No one is certain what caused the flash, but once it was over the apple had simply disappeared. Not only had it vanished, the ground it had grown from had closed as if it were never there. Some say the apple had grown so large it created some sort of fruity supernova and collapsed in on itself in a black hole. Some say the aliens responsible for the death of the dinosaurs came back and destroyed the apple as well. We may never know exactly what happened that night, but one thing is for sure. That was a big-*** apple.
