Q:Hey, ive just had the scaffolding piercing ( think thats how you spell it :P ) and i just wanted to know, is there any special way to look after it? any special way to clean it? or is it just like any other piercing?How often should i clean it? and is it wise to wear gloves when cleaning it? to keep any bacteria off it? Or what?Thankssssss :): You don't need to wear gloves when you're cleaning it, just make sure you wash your hands before you clean it. You should be cleaning it 1-2 times a day with a saline solution, such as H2Ocean, or a salt soak that should last 5-10 minutes. Salt soaks draw out bacteria/infections, so they are highly recommended.

Q:So today I decided to get both my tragus' done, a top cartlidge piercing and a scaffolding piercing in one sitting and now I'm in agony and the only aftercare I was given is a tiny bag of rock salt.... SALT!?Any ideas on how to get the swelling down / pain to go away and any tips on how to reduce the chance of getting them infected?: I'm surprised that a piercer did all of this...5 cartilage piercings and not even on the same ear? No rock salt. It needs to be non-iodized sea salt. Soak them twice a day for 5-10 minutes each soak with 1/4th of a teaspoon of non-iodized sea salt to 8oz of hot water. I usually double the mixture and put it into a clean bowl and just tilt my head to the side into the bowl to soak it. Ibuprofen for the swelling and soreness, ice for short periods of time throughout the day if you want. Don't change them until they're healed, don't touch them at all, try to sleep on your back or stomach, no swimming underwater or emerging them underwater until they are healed. Do all that and the soaks and you shouldn't deal with infection.

Q:I can't use metal because my ear swells up, so does anyone know where I can get a barbell made of silver?Thanks :).: Silver also contains nickel ( which causes allergies) and other nasty metals. Sterling silver - with the well known 924 stamp - contains 92.5% real silver and 7.5% of other metals, nickel included. Also silver turns black after a while and this black thing especially on a kinda new piercing can easily cause permanent discoloration of the skin ( black/green spot on the piercing hole ) That is why at all piercing studios they only use : Titanium, stainless steel, 18K and above gold. Titanium is the best metal by far. No allergies, no skin sensitivity and body loves it. It's also not expensive at all. It has a beautiful silver color which stays shiny for ever. You can find those jewelry online and on other places as well but it's best to get body jewelry from Tattoo/Piercing parlors. There are a lot of titanium and stainless steel jewelry around which are not great in quality. They are polished ( real titanium is not polished and the color is original done with a very special method ) and they are not than fine. So if you don't have a shop that you trust it's better to go to a professional piercing studio ( not at Claire's and places like that ) to get it.

Q:I got my industrial pierced on august 17th of this year. About 2 weeks ago this little bump formed on the outside of the bottom hole...i was wondering if i took it out to get it cleaned really good since its kinda hard to fully clean it would that affect it in any negative way? Q:i had an industrial piercing 2 days ago and was just wondering roughly how long untill i can change the bar? ive seen a few i like and want to change the boring one asap,..also, do u think my ears look crowded??? i dont have any pictures but on my left ear i have earlobe, tragus and rook, and my right ear i have ear lobe, anti-tragus and industrial..just wondering what u think.. thankss x: U shouldn't exchange it. i've got had undesirable journey with that. If the bar that it replaced into pierced with dosent worsen ur tongue then use the comparable bar and purely exchange the ball. Ur working a hazard changing the bar bc u do not kno if the hot bar will infect or irratate ur tongue. If u do pick to alter it wait apprx 6wks except ur putting yet another a million in as quickly as u take the 1st a million out. U can exchange the ball suitable after u get it pierced bc the ball dosent remember as long as u save the bar in.

Q:I really want to get an industrial piercing but I'm going to a music festival in about a month...
