Q:Why is aluminium special?
Aluminum is so reactive that it does not naturally occur as pure metal. That and the high reduction potential (-1.66 volts) would seem to indicate that it would not be a useful material. But when aluminum oxidizes, it forms a thin surface layer of aluminum oxide that is tightly bound to the surface. This gives it a very high resistance to further corrosion, and combined with its abundance and ease of recycling, amke it one of the most useful of metals.
Q:Why is the aluminum foil in the lithium ion battery eroded ?
During reverse charging, capacitance works as primary cell with two other power supply shorted. This means aluminum as the negative pole will react with the electrolyte, thus being eroded. Aluminum foil can not work as the negative pole, for Li and Al will alloy with each other at low voltage. The hard oxidation film covering the surface of the aluminum product will prevent itself from further oxidizing. On the contrary, oxygen and water can still react with Iron through the rust. Therefore, aluminum is more active than Iron, but it has better anti-corrosion abilities.
Q:How high can the aluminum foil tape be?
Mainly depends on the thickness of the aluminum foil with adhesive. High temperature tape and fiberglass tape, 200 degrees high temperature can withstand.
Q:Add regular aluminum foil to insulation?
You can use tin foil, visquene (plastic sheeting) or tar paper for the vapor barrier, but place it ONLY on the warm side of the insulation. This means only on the room side of the wall, not the outside. Otherwise, it will trap moisture and will eventually rot your walls.
Q:What's the function of aluminum foil
It can be used to wrap the food to cook(by pot), like barbeque.
Q:Should the aluminum foil fiberglass pipe be insulated?
South wind pipe with surface wind, air; overall uniform air supply; Ninglu; easy cleaning and maintenance, health and environmental protection; light weight; simple installation, short period project; flexible installation; all the advantages of higher price.
Q:Overview of aluminum foil
Q:Aluminum Chlorohydrate vs Aluminum Chloride?
Aluminium chlorohydrate is a group of specific aluminium salts having the general formula AlnCl(3n-m)(OH)m. It is used in deodorants and antiperspirants and as a coagulant in water purification. Aluminium chloride is just AlCl3. The chlorohydrate is just a partially hydrolysed form of AlCl3. So in water both will give you Al3+ Cl- ions as well as the ions from water, so the term 'largely the same thing ' is fine. The health issues are similar; I presume you know about the research on aluminium uptake and alzheimers?
Q:Why continuous annealing aluminum foil production process?
Annealing is to make aluminum foil becomes soft, soft, malleable aluminum foil like, if not annealed, rather hard to pull off aluminum foil and other unexpected problems likely to occur in the rolling process. So after each rolling aluminum foil should make another annealing process, so as to ensure that the aluminum foil in the following rolling process smoothly.
Q:How does aluminum foil help radio waves in real life?
that every technological device or machine needs radio waves to work this is not true. Only the ones that communicate (receive, transmit or both) need them. A microwave oven uses radio waves but it is also completely sealed to contain them so they don't cook flesh around them - it has no use for radio waves getting. A common portable CD or DVD player that does not include an AM or FM radio does not need radio waves. All of my power tools (drills, etc.) and kitchen appliances (mixer, etc.) have no use for radio waves. And in fact, many of those devices that do involve radio waves also generate radio interference so their cases have to be made of or lined with a thin layer of metal which could be aluminum to keep them from bothering nearby equipment and the radio signals have to be carefully brought in from a more or less distant antenna.
