With previous coated ceramic flatirons that i‘ve used, the ceramic coating seems to wear off and fade.
they are coated ceramic plates. ceramic hair straighteners protect the hair using heat to lock in moisture and natural oils, creating a smooth polished effect with added natural shine. the ceramic should last approximately 12-18 months with average use. you must remember that they generate intense heat. the heat eventually effests the ceramic coating on plates (crystal coated or backed ceramic lasts the longest) and heating elements eventually burn out. hope this helps x
Will the ceramic bowl crack?
No, porcelain is very strong and very small. The pottery is made of pottery clay ware, with porcelain clay fire called porcelain ware. Is the ceramic pottery, stoneware and porcelain. Those who use clay and clay the two kinds of clay as raw material, prepared from ingredients, molding, drying and calcination process can be called ceramic utensils. If you just take it out of the fridge and quickly pour in the water, it will crack.
So I‘m taking a ceramics class and i was making brass knuckles for fun. After a while i decided just to go along with my piece and actually finish it. But I wanted to know can they break if i playfully punch someone with them. (keep in mind, I‘m NOT going to use them for fighting at all) Or will they break since its just clay?

what is ceramic bearings?
A ceramic bearing is new to the cycling world, the ceramic is a replacement for steel or stainless steel components used in the construction of the bearing. What ceramics offer is lower friction and longer life under certain conditions. One of the big advantages of ceramics is in what goes on in a bearing under load. Steel constructed bearings actually create weld spots during use, due to the high temp. characteristics and a much smoother bearing surface ceramics don't have this problem. Over the years hybrid bearings have been created to stop the welding problem, steel/stainless, ceramic/chrome and other hybrid bearings due to their construction help eliminate the welding problem. Ceramic bearings are very pricey and for 99.999% of use the cost is not worth it, a hybrid bearing costs less and has similar friction characteristics. A side note if you do not use extreme care when installing ceramic bearings they will fail rather fast.

I have a ranch style kitchen with light oak cabinets. I want to add a back splash that would improve the value of my home. My counter tops are a gray/white/beige marble look but in a vinyl. My floors have the same colors with a diamond pattern. I like the look of tin and I also like the look of ceramic and I don‘t know which would be best. I want something to improve the look and make it fresh and new. Any input?
The way you are describing your kitchen I think you should go with ceramic. Why? because It give's it a modern feel and it looks good. Best of luck, Aly
The difference between ceramic pot and purple clay pot
Now on the market of the so-called "red porcelain pot, purple clay pot" is the use of ordinary clay, adding a lot of chemicals and firing, if there are so many purple raw materials, Yixing will not seal mine so long time! However, in Yixing local, more than ten years ago, the old purple sand factory production of ordinary purple sand pot, there are very little stock, my friend in the local for two days, only to get back two, and all with a number, it is very scarce ah!
Just got a ceramic stovelove the way that it LOOKS, but finding clean-up to be a *****! Already have a couple of spots on it that refuse to come offalready have the white gunk and the scratchless sponge.
Best advice I can give you is cook carefully. Grease comes off easily but burnt on stuff is nasty. Wipe any spills off fast. Occasionally I use a scaper for removing paint from glass windows. Usually after the kids or husband cooks. I've had my ceramic stove-top for 6 years. It looks a bit worn but we just built a new house and moved it in the brand new kitchen and it doesn't look too bad.
