Q:JUST the cable modem and router, not the whole PC. This is for the internet/ phone service.
There's no way of saying without further information. You need to know the amount of power provided by the UPS battery as well as the power drain by the cable modem and router to calculate this accurately. Generally speaking, a standard household model of cable modem and router do not pull a lot of power. Just ballparking it, since the power drain from both is fairly low...A UPS 750 will probably support the two devices together for about 45 minutes to nearly an hour...assuming NOTHING else is plugged into the UPS and using power from it. Be aware, however, that your local ISP will also be on backup or generator power...during an extended outage from a hurricane or serious snowstorm...sooner or later, they will go down too. .
Q:Do all power supplies 450 watt(or above)have the 12v 4 pin?
Almost all current motherboards power their CPU with a 12 volt CPU power cable. There are two kinds: the 4 pin 12V cable and the 8 pin 12V cable. The 4 pin cable is often called a P4 cable (although it's a very bad name) and the 8 pin cable is called an EPS12V cable. The P4 cable is the most common. You should find it on 90% of power supplies you buy on the market, regardless of how many watts they have. Some power supplies have both the 4pin and 8 pin cables for redundancy. ~~~ All modern power supplies nowadays have 4 pin CPU power cables. They come as a standard. The 24 pin ATX power supply is also quite common, it's kind of hard to get one that's 20 pin nowadays.
Q:I'm using macbook air,and the charger is plugged into it,the battery is full right now,so where is the power source from when it's running?Battery or directly from cable?
Power cable. If the electrical power fails, your laptop will automatically begin using the battery power.
Q:best buy geeks advised me to buy wd320sata h/d to replace seagate barracuda 7200 h/d....... cannot connect .... no sata connector on motherboard that i can find....... instructions says need power cord. any suggestions????????? please and thank you.........

Q:Two things:1.) Why when we're using an AC to step up the voltage the power has to remain constant?2.) Why is it if we increase the voltage by a factor of 100 we have to decrease the current by a factor of a hundred and therefore I^2R is decreased by a factor of 10,000
Power is generated at the power station and transferred to the end user your home by means of power cables. Unfortunately, some power is always lost in this transfer process. It's power NOT Voltage OR Current that is required to operate your home electrical appliance. Yes, current and voltages are involved ;but it is the PRODUCT of these two that makes up the power NOT the voltage or current individually. Power = Voltage x Current Power is lost in the cables as heat as given by your i^2R. To reduce the losses then we must reduce the current I. But, if I reduce the current and keep the voltage the same then the power will fall and my kettle/Xbox/curling tongs will no longer work at home. So, to keep the power up when reducing the current I must compensate by increasing the voltage and this means using a step up transformer. Near the homes, a step down transformer is used to reduce it back down again. Since the losses in a cable are a consequence of I^2R heating then it is important to reduce the current as much as possible when transferring power. If we assume the the resistance, R of the cable is constant, then a 10,000 reduction in power (power/10,000) gives P/10,000 = I^2 x R I^2 = Power/10, 000R I = square root of [const x 10,000] I = 100. Then using power = voltage x current reducing the current by 100 means increasing the voltage by 100 to keep the power the same.
Q:It wont do any damage will it?
Actually, Yes you can. There are many cards that have the ability to use the Additional 2 Pins...but if you look at many power supplies...there are 6+2 pin connectors for such cards. The first six pins are the same as the PCIe 6pin Connnector. Just make sure your Square Pins are lined up to make sure that your voltages are correct going into your card. You have Difficulty Physically placing the Connector into the board because the last 2 pins are getting in the way....remove them...simple as that...that is how you put a square peg into a round hole...
Q:There is no load in the middle of the problem added: the laying of the laying, and now the longest cable can do more long
Network set-top box does not require a computer, only need to follow the operating manual set-top box and TV connection, and then boot the wired / wireless network configuration, with set-top box software can watch the video program. 4M do not see the basic high enough, but now the Chinese network is shared bandwidth, if the use of many people may be cardton
Q:What is the difference between the power BV line and the power YJV cable?
You can use sc. if too long, or bend the best use of the bridge
Q:Can anyone help? my pc wont turn on without them hooked up.
If you look very close the position for these connectors is written on the motherboard along side of the pins that they connect to in very small letters.
Q:My ac jack is screwed up and I can't plug in the ac adapter. I have heard that there is a power cable that will plug into one of the other ports on the side of the computer to, but I don't know where to find one or what they are called. Also, I have heard there are a million problems with the R3000 - and some can be fixed by taking it apart. I do NOT want to do this. I just need an alternative power cable. The laptop works perfect - if it had power. Thanks in advance. :)
Well, you could try the compag website for costumer support, they will help out.
