- Dash lights are running lights? Dash lights are the bulbs in the instrument cluster and gauges. Test the rheostat for dimming the dash lights if you've already turned it up all the way. I have seen voltage spikes fry all the instrument cluster bulbs at the same time.

- When I was 13 I put lights all over my room and it caught on fire. I almost caught our entire house on fire. I am now 27 and would tell you its not a good idea. but if you really want lights the best one would be rope lights they don't get nearly as hot compared to other ones.

- Black lights get much hotter than regular fluorescent bulbs. And like regular fluorescents, they need a grounded metal surface to be close to the full length of the bulb. Together, these mean the fixture housing should be in metal. So, unless you have the capabilities to make the fixture out of sheet metal, I would recommend that you buy a cheap, regular fluorescent fixture and swap out the a ballast and/or tombstones as needed to drive the black light tube you have purchased.

- i own a repair shop,and you might to need to check the bulbs for the two back ones if the center brake light is working on it,,other wise it may have a bad brake light switch on it, this is the most common cause for the brake lights not to work,, i replace at least 5 of these things a week or more ,at the shop,and it always surprises people that such a simple and cheap part can knock there brake lights out,,but that's the way it goes in the repair business,sometimes the cheapest part is the problem.id also check the fuse for it also,if both went out at the same time it cold just be a simple fuse blown,good luck with it,i hope this help,s.

- Q: hey i am getting a new aquarium and i am just wondering if i need and special kind of lighting. my tank is 55 gallon fresh water with just fish and fake decoration. i heard that the lighting is just for viewing fish and it doesn't really matter what light you use, some say you don't even need light. i know this is not true for reef tanks but does it matter what light you are using for a freshwater fish only tank. i plan on using led bulbs but i am probably going to leave the lights off if you dont need them to save electricity, the room i have my aqaurium in is brightly lit already, and no it is not by a window. whats are your thoughts, do i need special lighting or will anything work fine, is it okay for mine not to use lights?
- You only need lights in a tropical tank if you have live plants, otherwise it's up to you whether you want them or not. I have live plants so I have to keep mine on all day and light tubes are expensive. If I didn't have my plants I don't think I'd be bothered with lighting either.

- Coherent light = laser......this is a focused beam of light energy. Lasers use a laser diode and a special crystal to achieve this.... incoherent light is scattered such as a light globe since there is no physical medium to concentrate the light...
