1 What is the difference between Polycarbonate and Acrylic?

There is lots of differences between the materials in terms of properties but the main difference is Polycarbonate is virtually unbreakable where as acrylic will shatter

2 What is the fire rating for polycarbonate sheets?
Polycarbonate is class 1 fire rating meaning it is self extinguishing

3 How do you clean Polycarbonate Sheets?
Should polycarbonate sheets require cleaning, it is recommended that luke warm water with a little detergent is used. This should be wiped over the polycarbonate's sheet surface with a soft, non abrasive cloth/sponge. Using any other form of cleaning product or oil could leave damage to your polycarbonate sheeting. Cleaning the polycarbonate dry can often leave to a scratched surface. This is due to the polycarbonate's soft surface, despite its unmatched strength to glass.

4 Can you polish the edges on Polycarbonate Sheet?
No you cannot polish edges on the sheets due to the properties of the material.

5 What thicknesses does Polycarbonate sheet come in?
The thicknesses we offer are 2mm,3mm,4mm,5mm,6mm,8mm,10mm and 12mm

Q:Enclosing a porch in plastic sheeting or tarps - they keep tearing off. How do I keep them up?
Enclosing A Porch
Q:Light breaking sheet of clear plastic that makes light into rainbows?
There was a toy i think called Eye of Jupiter that does that pattern
Q:Why should the aluminum-plastic composite board retain the polyethylene plastic not less than 0.3mm thick when cutting the inner aluminum sheet and polyethylene plastic?
Accurately stated, aluminum plate in the opening processing, not cutting, but behind the groove.
Q:Where can I buy protective plastic sheets for mattresses?
Rather than a plastic or rubber sheet...try this. Call them, they probably have an alternative mattress cover, not this exact one, but similar. It isn't as hot to sleep on and yet it will protect against accidents.
Q:what is the difference in photo sheet protectors and the photo pages?
Yes, if the work is still copyrighted (they eventually expire) then the copyright owners have the exclusive right to make copies or derivative works (transcribing it into other forms), as well as distribution or public performances, subject to certain limitations. One of those limitations is called fair use, often involving private use without any commercial gain or private profit. The mere photocopying is technically illegal, as it simply displaces the copy you SHOULD have purchased from the authorized distributors. Someone already mentioned one other exemption that involves educational use in a classroom of a non-profit school, provided the other limitations are met. Even if you go to a public library, there must be signs on the photocopy machines that instruct you about the basics of copyright law and remind you that not all copying is allowed. As for including the composer and copyright, that is common courtesy, but also insufficient to demonstrate that you have the necessary license. You could, in theory, be sued if you were to distribute photocopies of the sheet music (even for free), but there is typically little chance of anyone doing that to you for a single instance. If you take it to a retail print shop and have them run off a hundred copies, you would both be guilty of a federal felony, since they are taking money for willful infringement. Bottom line: yes, it's illegal in most cases; however, you are unlikely to be sued for one or two copies.
Q:Is plastic (clothe and sheet protectors) recyclable?
Most plastics are recyclable. However, not all cities recycle anything, and in my city, only certain categories of plastic can go in my recycling bin. Look for a little triangular logo on the item, with arrows leading to each other, with a number or symbol in the middle. See my source. In my city, we are not supposed to put any plastic with that 7 in our bins, because the city waste disposal doesn't have the means to recycle it.
Q:How do you paint gouache on a plastic board?
Water is water soluble, generally in the paper, the plastic plate can not long period of attachment.
Q:Acrylic plate and plastic plate how to distinguish?
Acrylic is also called PMMA, plastic sheet belongs to engineering plastics; PVC is polyvinyl chloride, and it is a general plastic. Acrylic is the best new material that can be used to produce sanitary ware after ceramic. As a special plexiglass, acrylic can also be used in aircraft windshield, and used in harsh environments for decades.
Q:are pvc plastic sheets and acetate sheets made from the same or similar things?
they are different. acetate can be transparent like glass and isn't very flexible. I haven't seen clear PVC (thats not to say it doesn't exist) but it can be very flexible- like garbage bags or it can be made hard - like plastic pipes. PVC is more a group of plastics
Q:Where can I buy thin plastic sheets for sewing project?
Plastic canvas works well for that. Michaels and Hobby Lobby both have it.
