- Q: Garden lights apply
- Solar garden lights moving convenience, low voltage, harmless to the human body, energy saving and environmental protection.
- Q: ok heres the details. i have a 1985 chevy caprice 305 5.0 v8 recently my brake lights stop turning on. now when i turn on my light the rear lights come on. i have 3 lights on one side and 3 on the other. so my tail lights look like this [ ] [ ] [ ] LP [ ] [ ] [ ] .....LP stands for license plate. now when i turn on my turning signal only certain lights come on ( the x will represent the lights that are off)[ ] [x] [ ] LP [ ] [x] [x] ...the left turning signal one light is out and the right turn signal two lights are out. i just got done replacing the brake light switch so thats not the problem. any suggestion please reply
- The Light Bulbs have two filaments in them. One is low light and the other is high light. So the low would be your taillight and when you use the turn or brake, the high light filament will light up unless it has broken or burnt out. It is normal to only have two lights on each side as the Turn/Brake light. So you only need to replace one light bulb. the Left outside.
- Q: I know how normal lights produce lights, but how do fluorescent lights do it?:)
- Normal lights is to do with heating, and emitting radiation in the form of light due to the heat energy. In fluorescent, instead of heat energy, chemical energy is turned into light energy. In fluorescent bulbs, there are fluorescent materials coated inside. The physics behind it is when a certain energy is absorbed by the electron in its outer shell of the fluorescent material, it goes to a high orbital and comes back to the ground state. When coming back to the ground state, the energy it absorbed is released in the form of electromagnetic radiation, which is light.
- Q: Red light? Why?
- Violet. It has a higher frequency than red light, and as such, is more likely to exceed the work function of the metal. Look up the photoelectric effect.
- Q: What is the diffence between high lights and low lights?
- low lights are dark. highlights are light. in perspective to your hair color
- Q: Is fluorescent lighting true lighting? I was told that it is false lighting and that it distorts color and image but then I was also told that It's true lighting and thats how objects really look to others. I have florescent lighting in my room but it looks a lot different to how I look in a mirror at school with fluorescent lighting. How can I tell what I really look like?Is how I look under fluorescent lighting how I look to other people? I look really funny under it..I also feel like its mostly just when I'm in a white room with fluorescent lighting that I look my worst.
- Kayla, this is a good question. The answer actually is it depends. There are different kinds of fluorescent lights, and depending on the color temperature (yes, that's a real term) of the bulb, it changes the way objects look as seen under that light. Cool light has a bluish hue and is typically in the range of 5000k. Warm light has a yellowish hue and typically falls in the range of 2500 to 3500k, by comparison. The typical soft white household bulb tends to be in the 3000k range. The standard long fluorescent tube tends to be on the cold side, which commonly is perceived as being harsh and distorting. The lighting section at Home Depot by us has a display that shows the same. picture under different lights. By looking at this, you can get a good understanding of how the color temperature of a particular bulb affects the way things look. Although actual daylight is on the order of 6500k, that winds up looking very harsh in the context of a home. Cooler lights are brighter, so they are often used in institutional settings, but they are not the kind of warm friendly lights most people want in their homes. This accounts for your feeling that you look your worst under fluorescent lights in a white room - it gives an almost bluish cast to your skin; very harsh! Everybody looks awful under cold fluorescent lights, though some people probably look even worse depending on their natural skin color and clothing....but depending on the specific bulb that's in place, it'll change how everything looks.
- Q: In a three-point lighting configuration, is the fill light supposed to eliminate shadows cast by the key light, or is it just supposed to soften them?
- In order to completely eliminate the shadows, the fill light would have to equal the main light. It's there primarily to open up the shadows, keep them from losing detail. Try using different ratios of fill to create different levels of contrast between the dark and light sides of the subjects face. Women tend to prefer a beauty light look - almost even lighting - whereas men may like the tough guy 1940's Hollywood look of deep shadow that hides much of their face. Hope this helps
- Q: Light has no mass. But black holes are able to suck light into it. So does that make light a tangible substance?
- In order to understand how light gets pulled into black holes, you have to understand a little bit about Einsteinian gravity. According to Einstein, gravity isn't a force in the same sense that electromagnetism is a force, but instead is the result of mass warping spacetime. Basically, a massive body - like a planet, star, or black hole - bends spacetime around it. As light passes near the massive body, the light follows a *locally* straight path through curved spacetime. This is important to understand; as far as the light is concerned, it hasn't changed its course. But to a distant observer, the light's path appears to bend, because spacetime itself bends. Due to its large mass concentrated into a small volume, a black hole warps spacetime so strongly that any light beam passing through its event horizon is forever curved into the black hole, never to escape. I hope that helps. Good luck! EDIT: Steve4Physics has provided another correct explanation of the same phenomenon. That's the beautiful (and sometimes perplexing) thing about physics; there are often numerous correct explanations for the same thing.
- Q: Please state three characteristics of light.
- (State three characteristics of light?) ----------------------------- 1.) Photons of light are massless particle / wave duality 2.) Light photons are their own matter / antimatter pair 3.) Light photons possess no change and an integer spin-1 or higher. ------------------------------- There are at least 16 primary differences between the photon (force carrier) and a matter particle (charged, spin-1/2 fermion). Best regards
- Q: lol like seriously how do light years work??!!
- Light Years measure distance, not time.
