- Q:is it a lights with purple colour 1??
- UV = Ultraviolet light, which is radiation with wavelength shorter than visible light. Since UV wavelengths is shorter than visible -- the purple you describe is more like near-UV (400-200 nm). Have a look in Wikipedia, they have a good explanation.

- LEDs and lasers produce monochromatic light without an infrared component. For that matter, fluorsecent tubes don't put out much IR either. So they won't wam you up like the sun or an incandescent bulb will, but the light is still converted to heat when it is absorbed. Using LED lights in a hot climate like an operating room in the tropics does reduce the heat load considerably, without using air conditioning. Light is energy, so you can't have light with no energy.

- The brake lights and taillights are the same bulb but have two filaments, IF the brake lights at the rear are working the third brake light bulb is burned out. If the brake lights and third brake light are not working it's possible the brake light switch is bad or needs adjustment or you have wiring issues.

- when answering these questions it's important to remember this relationship: E = h X nu, where nu is the frequency of the light since the speed of light is c (a constant) we can relate the wavelength of light to the frequency through the speed of light lambda (wavelength) = c / nu also, let's think about the EM spectrum, it goes from highest to lowest energy: gamma, x-ray, UV, Vis, IR, micro, radio that means that blue light is the highest energy visible light, and red light is the lowest energy visible light. So, since the rainbow goes from purple to blue, green, yellow, orange, finally to red, then green light is of higher energy - and from the equation above we know that the frequency of the light is directly related to energy - so the higher the energy of that light, the higher the frequency. That means green has a higher frequency than yellow. X-rays have much higher frequencies that microwaves. And all light travels at the same speed - c :)

- Fog lights emit a different frequency of light. This allows better visibility in fog. The newer Xenon headlights emit a frequency of light appropriate for both clear weather and fog, hence when vehicles have Xenon lights, the manufacturer doesn't need to install fog lights, but may rather give Daytime Driving or LED lights.
