- read the box and what materials are used in the iron and post exactly what the tag on the cord says You'll be fine just make sure your iron is not a knock off or a fake/ cheap brand. You wont get lead poising if that's what your worried about because you aren't ingesting the iron BUT if you have a cheap or knock off, the plastic the iron is in-cased in might contain lead and the heat alone will release it from the plastic/paint. your best bet is getting a salon suggested iron $80-$250 is the price range my gf's have been know to play for them

- Well you can always take iron supplements but they will constipate you. Best take iron rich foods and take VITAMIN C with them too as it helps you absorb iron. Here is a list of some Iron rich foods: Foods that are a good source of iron include: (liver, lean red meats, including beef, pork, lamb--just so others know too ) seafood, such as oysters, clams, tuna, salmon, and shrimp, etc. beans, including kidney, lima, navy, black, pinto, soy beans, and lentils iron fortified whole grains, including cereals, breads, rice, and pasta greens, including collard greens, kale, mustard greens, spinach, and turnip greens (the darker the green the more iron) tofu vegetables, including broccoli, swiss chard, asparagus, parsley, watercress, brussel sprouts chicken and turkey blackstrap molasses nuts egg yolks dried fruits, such as raisins, prunes, dates and apricots (and probably PURE juices from these are rich too)

- Try this: Set iron for WOOL setting. Add water to the iron. Always use steam heat when pressing. Never iron wool fabric dry. Squeeze gently to remove excess water. Do NOT wring the garment. Press garment on the inside of the garment to avoid surface shine. Use a pressing cloth when top pressing. A clean white handkerchief or cotton cloth may also be used. When pressing napped fabrics, place a piece of the same fabric or a thick terry cloth towel on the ironing board to prevent crushing. Shine created by pressing may be reduced by sponging white vinegar on surface of wool garment. Rinse thoroughly. Some recommended notions for someone with a lot of wool to press are a steam iron, a tailor's ham for pressing curved areas such as collars and lapels, a seam roll for pressing seams open without making a visible seam edge, a point presser for hard-to-reach places, and a press cloth. One common trade name for rayon is Modal?. To iron rayon, when necessary, use the steam setting on a warm iron and a dry pressing cloth on the inside of the garment. So, if you can make sense out of that.I would say that your best bet is to iron it moist (don't let it sit) and to use some of the professional accessories to get a crisp finish.
