Q:Hi I have low Iron in my blood. And I was wondering if it‘s bad. My doctor said my Iron was on the low side. He advised me to take Iron pills but I rather not. Iron is important to help your red blood cells carry oxygen around the body. In extreme cases, a lack of iron in the blood leads to anemia and is why those victim tend to have pale skin. Iron is predominant in meat, especially red meat. Unfortunately, red meat tends to be high in cholesterol so pick a lean option. Also, spinach has a high iron content as well as many nuts and pulses.

Too much iron in the body can do liver damage. There is a disease called hemochromatosis (hope I got that right) in which people normally have too much iron and have to give blood every so often to get rid of the iron so it doesn't do any damage to the body. If left untreated, it can actually progress to cirrhosis (scar tissue replaces healthy tissue in the liver) which can lead to total liver failure and a person needing a liver transplant. You should not be taking extra iron unless you really need it and that should be determined by a doctor through blood work to see if you have anemia. If you have anemia, then it's best to find out why. It most likely would not be a liver problem if you are anemic and need iron. Maybe your body doesn't absorb iron right. There could even be a bleeding internally problem of some kind. It could be something minor to something serious if you need iron. You should not self medicate yourself on this.

Iron and oxygen produce rust or Iron oxide when they are joined. However, it is possible that you burned the iron, as oxygen is highly flammable.

Too much iron can be very bad for you.iron supplements are dangerous if taken to excess. Focus on getting it in your diet instead. Spinach, curky kale and broccoli baked beans (a half can provides quite a lot of iron) branflakes Dried apricots, prunes and figs (great for snack attacks) blackstrap molasses (sweet, sticky by-product of sugar products.lots of vegetarians take a couple spoonfuls of this a day for iron and other stuff. You'll either love the taste or hate it) tofu red lentils brown rice sesame and pumpkin seeds (sprinkle a spoonful of raw seeds over salads, soups, and your evening meal) dark chocolate (don't use this as an excuse to go on a binge lol) Also get lots of vitamin C as it helps iron absorption in the body.

I curl my hair with a flat iron all the time an the curls last much longer than when you use a curling iron. but my hair is naturally curly I think it depends on what type of hair you have
