Q:I have already got a cartilage piercing, and I was considering getting a scaffold bar. I don't mind pain, but soon as it was in an unusual place, I was just a little bit curious.: It's pretty much the same thing. People like to say its really painful, but really its just getting two cartilage piercings in a row. The sting only lasts a second, its not bad at all. you may have a headache afterwards, but thats the worst of it. mainly people say its really bad because its likely they went to a crappy piercing place and didnt really care who pierced them. if you do research and get someone with lots of experience, you should be fine. like my piercer has been doing them for about 15 yrs and does thousands a year. inexperienced ones are the worst. also whats helpful is if you ask the piercer to do one piercing at a time with separate needles, cause some like to do both with the same needle, piercing the second one without pulling the needle out of the first one, which would make it very uncomfortable.

Q:Another from the ministry of silly questions…I’d like to support a lightweight tarpaulin over my back yard. Single slope, high side attached to the house and low side attached to a scaffolding pole, running horizontally between two walls. Fair weather, no high winds or pooling. The run of pole would be 8 meters. The longest poles seem to be 6m, so I need to use a coupling. Will this be strong enough – ish? I imagine the most stressed point would be just around the edges of the coupling, so If I used two joints/couplings in the bar, wouldn’t I half the strain on a single one?Also if I made the joints at 1m and 7m would that be better than to have a joint in the middle where the most flexing will be?Also bit more expensive, but with Aluminium the bar will be 20kg lighter – buy will it be as strong joint wise?Will a tubular coupling be as good as a external one?If anyone knows.. Thanks!: The problem with your proposal is that you realise that the wind/rain could have an effect but chose to ignore the consequences if it occurs. 'Proper' scaffolding is designed and such an unsupported span would never occur in a 'normal' scaffold so the standard calculations would not work. There is also the possible effect on the walls, could they take an abnormal load? I would look at theatrical or music stage hire using trussed beams.

Q:Everybody calls it either one, i want the one that goes across the top of your ear. Would it be safer to have two helix done instead of putting the bar straight in and getting the actual piercing or should i get two helix and put a bar in once it has healed? i would ask the piercer to line the two up. ive heard that industrails go wrong alot if a bar is put right in.: what s all this stuff supposed to mean i dont understand ur piercing language!!! lol

Q:So I have 2 paws on my wrist and had my belly done years ago as well as my ears. Now im interested in getting a scaffold piercing but ive been told it hurts, a lot! im not too botherd about the pain cause I know there will be something good at the end but can you tell me more?: Didn't hurt that much. The only part that sucks is the fact that you get done with the first hole...and you think to yourself it hurt but was it wasn't that bad. Then you realize wow he's not done he still has to do the second one. Before you know it your done. BTW i love my industrial...i was looking at it this morning and thinking about how much i love and i got it like almost 2 yrs ago

Q:i want to get a scaffold ear pireceing but i got my cartlige done about 2 to 3 years ago but any way if i got a industrial done who would they do it with my cartlige done would thay use it and just make one hole instead of two: They most likely wouldn't use the cartilage piercing you already have because the hole wouldn't be in the proper placement for the bar to go through. You could always use your other ear though :)

Q:What is the difference between the bowl buckle scaffold and the fastener type steel pipe scaffold? What is the difference?: Mainly play a supporting role. The second is the external wall, the use of steel pipe scaffolding, such as structural decoration, which is divided into single and double scaffolding, double row with landing and cantilever.

Q:I'm wanting a scaffold piercing so i can wear it with a bar or 2 rings. Could i get it PIERCED with the 2 rings to begin with or do i have to have a bar for the first few weeks/months?: My friend wanted the same thing done so she asked the piercer and he pierced one side of her top ear first and a week later she went back and got the other side pierced. She got used to the rings being in for 2 weeks and then put a bar in. Beware though as the bar that is put into your ear can make your skin grow around it, I still have two lumps on my ear from where the piercing went dodgy and so has my friend. I want it done again though! :)

Q:I live on the second floor of an apartment building the scaffolding is all around the windows. When the men are working, they are just a few feet away! It's awful. Anyway to find out when this hideous mess will come down?: Well on every building that has construction on it there's a little section that he paper work and permits all over it ( usually at street level) so I'm going to guess if you can obtain the constructions companies phone number from those paper you can call and ask when the scaffolding is coming down.
