- No you can not put speed bumps on the road yourself as it is public property. However you can go to your city council or mayor and petition for the speed bumps. If they see the need for it they will agree to put them in. They may want you to pay for them or part of the cost at least. But you can not put anything like that on public property without the cities or county if you live in the county, property.

- cutters all the way!!! Other gloves like underarmour only have the sticky on the top layer and they wear out. Cutters have C tack which has the grip all the way through. This means that when the sticky on the top wears down it doesn't matter because it is just as sticky underneath if not more and they will not lose their tack. Other gloves don't have this and will wear and need to be replaced 2 or 3 times in one year. I know because I tried other gloves. I know kids that have had theirs for 2 years or more. And cutters are the same price as other gloves. This is a no brainer!!!

- Q:Every now and than my paint when she wants her own way will chomp on the bit, and than she will grab it with the corner of her mouth in her teeth and hold it for a minute, besides throwing head. How can I stop this, I thought about those rubber guards, I rode her yesterday, she acted up pretty bad, by throwing her head and grabing the corner of the bit. The bit I use is a snaffle with a copper roller ball in the middle, not severe. She only does this when she wants her way. - Ok just to confuse things further. Had similar problem w/ rerouting gas lines in basement of beach cottage. Always thought galvanized was never used w/ black iron . Turns out even the utility co. uses galvanized pipe fittings to replace mate up to black iron because of the salt air corrosion. Used the yellow teflon tape on joints as recommended. The thinking was that you would get bi-metal corrosion because of the zinc coating on galvanized in contact w/ the iron. We'll all be dead before the pipes give way.

- Man, you sure talk a lot. Probably the best bike for someone like you, especially a new rider (don't go 2 up for your first year) is a naked, like the SV650 (no S) or the SFV650 Gladius. They are cheap to own, maintain, and get good gas mileage, have plenty of pep to be safe, can easily handle 2 up riding, as easy to control, and best of all, you won't look like a dork. As for helmets, SNELL is not recommended. SNELL helmets, while having some advantages over DOT (quality control), are extremely stiff, and studies have shown that stiffness is worse than the soft DOTs. If you want a helmet that is safe, go with an ECE rated helmet. It is middle road stiffness, and has all the quality control standards of SNELL. As for gear, you won't need kevlar, but will probably want something that is breathable with soft armor (also safest when you can't practically wear leather). Alpine stars makes some nice, inexpensive textile jackets that are just right. Pants, you should wear normal jeans, and then wear textile over pants, like renegade pants or some other type (which you can find many online). Equally as important, you need shoes/boots made for motorcycling (wear spots for shifter and build for sideways forces when holding the bike up), and a good set of armored gloves.
