Is that normal procedure when buying an Arabian foal? Every registered foal I ever looked at (I had Appaloosas and QHs) were registered or registration pending all paid for by the seller and the cost just figured in to the asking price of the horse. Is there some problem with the foal, and once you own it and try to get it registered, you will find out that it isn't eligible for registration? That would make sense at the price they are asking - $250 is more the price for a grade colt, not one of impeccable breeding. Make sure you take a trainer or some very experienced professional that you trust when you go to see the colt. And make the purchase contingent on a vet check by a vet of your choice, not associated with the seller - not their regular vet or any vet that works with their regular vet. ALSO, make sure the sale is contingent on you being able to get the colt registered - if it turns out to be ineligible for registration for any reason, the seller should agree to take the foal back and refund your money in full. And get that IN WRITING! If they are unwilling to agree to that, I would really worry about the true pedigree and worth of the animal. As far as if you are ready to train such a foal, only you know if you are really ready for that. Since you have experience, are going to college for horsemanship, and are smart enough to know that you will need some professional help, I think you will be fine.

I would hardly think that any water coming from a hydrant would be unsafedue to the fact that firemen are usually in that stuff when fighting a fire. No one would take a chance on exposing the firemen to unsafe water. You could always take a sample from the faucet in the building and have it tested if you really want to feel secure about it.

Yes it can be used, get a bowl or cup and put it inside the pumpkin insert dry ice into bowl or cup and add a *small* amount of water. The water causes the dry ice to smoke. Also do not handle the dry ice with bare hands it can cause burns when held for more than a few seconds.Use a kitchen utensil to handle the dry ice. I have done this for the past few halloweens. The local publix sells dry ice.

Q:I laid down my pavers beautifully, gave them some time to settle, and then swept the polymeric sand into the joints. I was very careful to get as much of the sand off the actual pavers as possible, but inevitably there was still a light dusty residue that couldn't be swept off. I misted the pavers as advised (4 times in 20 min increments), and when everything dried up, my pavers looked terrible! There is an obvious residue left on the pavers. We tried scrubbing with a wire brush, but that changed the texture of the pavers. I am hearing that vinegar and a regluar (less abrasive) brush might work? How about a power washer? When you take off in a space shuttle, you have to be going insanely fast. And that speed generates a lot of heat. Have you ever seen a movie of something falling from really high and catching on fire? Anyway, the thermal blanket is a protective layer so that the people in the shuttle don't heat up and explode or something equally dreadful. What the article is saying is that a piece of the thermal blanket came loose, but luckily it wasn't in a really critical place (as mentioned above, the most vulnerable places to heat damage are the wings and nosecap).
