Aluminium is a relatively soft, durable, lightweight, ductile and malleablemetalwith appearance ranging from silvery to dull gray, depending on the surfaceroughness. It is nonmagnetic and does not easily ignite. A fresh film ofaluminium serves as a good reflector (approximately 92%) of visible light and an excellent reflector (asmuch as 98%) of medium and far infrared radiation. The yield strengthof pure aluminium is 7–11 MPa, while aluminium alloys have yield strengths ranging from200 MPa to 600 MPa. Aluminium has about one-third the density and stiffness of steel. It is easily machined, cast, drawn and extruded.

Aluminium alloys (or aluminum alloys; see spellingdifferences) are alloysin which aluminium(Al) is the predominant metal. The typical alloying elements are copper, magnesium, manganese, silicon, tin and zinc. There are twoprincipal classifications, namely casting alloys and wrought alloys, both of which are furthersubdivided into the categories heat-treatableand non-heat-treatable. About 85% of aluminium is used for wrought products, for example rolled plate, foils and extrusions.Cast aluminium alloys yield cost-effective products due to the low meltingpoint, although they generally have lower tensile strengthsthan wrought alloys. The most important cast aluminium alloy system is Al–Si,where the high levels of silicon (4.0–13%) contribute to give good castingcharacteristics. Aluminium alloys are widely used in engineering structures andcomponents where light weight or corrosion resistance is required

Q:i just baked a cake and realized we don't have any aluminum foil or plastic wrap to keep it covered over night! I don't want it to stale so i put a plastic trash bag over top of it (I'm a student bare with me) and I'm not sure if this will work! need help! thanks!
Ok, I'll try to keep this briefPolyester washes well, is durable can be made in different finishes (silky, shiny) but can fade, melt and is generally cheap, it also doesn't breathe and is very hotPoly typically doesn't shrink like cotton does and is very easy to wash and dries fastSpandex and nylon are very similar to each otherThey are very stretchy, prone to runs and shrinkage and must be washed in cold water they are uaually found in exercise wearRayon is a man-made alternative to silk, it's light, wears pretty well must be washed in cold or dry cleanedOverall rayon can give the look of silk without the cost
Q:Is it safe to use stove top pots and pans for inside the oven for baking?
if your pots pans dont have labeling specifiying them being used in the oven here is a way you can do it w/o handles meltingwrap all plastic handles w/aluminum foil (about 2-3 layers) and dont go over 400 on the tempbefore i bought cooks essentials that are oven ready i used to do this all the time.
Q:found capsules in teen's room Im afraid he is using
Softpaws, harmels vinyl claw caps that don't damage furniture
Q:im not talking about very tough foils, but even the soft ones hurtwhy?
6 cups of sugar?! No wonderFind a different recipe.
Q:The tag on a silver bracelet reads 925 meaning silverIs it ok to wear in the shower?
Ravelry has a really good selection of patterns both free and paidYou have to register for itAs for videos, I learned from DIY networks Knitty Gritty's basics videos.
Q:My wheel cracked in the outer lip, im a welder and itll be easy to fix, from a welders stand point, i should leave some weld on the outside, but what about from an automotive POV? I know inside you're not supposed to leave weld on it because the bead won't sealWhat if I leave a small weld on the outside just in case it wants to start cracking again?
I just talked to the vet about this yesterdayI let my bigger dogs out during the day, (they have a 12x12 pen that has a floor walls and a roof and inside it is a dog house with blankets) but I was worried about it being too cold outsideHe said that they would be fine during the day as long as the temperature isn't in the single digitsHe said it's actually good for them to be outside so they can grow their winter coatsI usually put them out late in the morning and let them in after dinner.
Q:If a bmx frame tube is double butted 1.2-.9-1.2, what is the tube diameter?
You can't tell from that information The numbers you provided give you the wall thickness of the tube- 1.2mm at each and and 0.9mm in the middlesounds like an aluminum frame to meIn short, almost any diameter tube over 3.6mm can be made with the wall thickness you mention.
Q:I have a roast beef in the refrigerator and i'm going to put garlic salt, salt, and pepper on itI want to make it in the over but i'm not sur ehowI want it well done and with no vegetable just the meatI have a thermometer for the meat for the oven but am I supposed to leave it in there with the meat? Q:When I see those architectural models in office hallways of their own buildings and grounds, what is used to make those models? There are buildings, grass, trees, etcWhat is generally used for these? Clay? paper? wood? cardboard? foam board? styrofoam? And how about the grass and trees? Where can one learn how to build these sorts of things? I have come up with no luck on the internet, it seems to be some sort of unspoken subject that you only learn in architectural school.
I would go for treated wood posts (set properly) and 2 electric tapeIt gives if necessary, has some stretch rather than breakingThe posts of course are a little more trustworthy than fiberglassThe only time I've had problems with it was when it got hit by lighteningthe metal mesh melted out, but the plastic was just fine - no escaped horses! I don't like wire due to the thinness - I don't think it's fair to put an animal with such poor eyesight in wireI've also seen my fair share of ligmanent damage due to horses getting caught in itI like boards of course, but they require some upkeep.
