FAQ

Can I add more solar panel let say up to 200 watt and adding two 2 volts battery using the same charges controller and power inverter?
That charge controller is notoriously cheap and burns up easily. If you are going add solar panels, also buy another charge controller to go with them. They can both be connected to the same battery bank. I don't believe the kit comes with batteries, so you would buy whatever size 2V battery bank your power requirements call for. The size of the inverter depends entirely on what you are going to power with it, not the size of the panel array. As long as you are not powering anything that is over the 300W rating, you don't need a new one. Just be sure to check the details of the inverter, is it 300W continuous, or can it handle up to a 300W surge? Also, it's a modified sine wave inverter instead of a pure sine wave inverter, so don't plug any sensitive electronics into it. They may not work, or you may get a buzz or hum from it.
how much power is generated with solar panels? also please give me links for that information.and how much would the costs be for this alternative energy source?
KW solar panels generate 5kwh power each day or so.
Yes, solar panels are safe. They are designed and installed to meet strict safety standards. They do not produce any emissions, and the risks associated with solar panels are extremely low. However, it is important to ensure proper installation and maintenance to maximize safety.
nan
Solar panel refers to a panel designed to absorb the sun's rays as a source of energy for generating electricity or heating.
My mom's house has some solar power panels on the top of her house but they are not connected to anything. They don't even have wires or anything like that. Does anyone know how to connect and make solar panels work? Thank You
FIrst get an electrician...lol shouldnt cost too much if all the hardware is there , but depending on how many panels there are and what can... would tell you if the energy output would be worth the effort. plus one reason they could be unplugged is because they are bad . But you can repanel a new house with moderate power for about 3-5 grand
Yes, solar panels can be used in areas with high levels of insect activity. While insects may occasionally land on the panels, it does not significantly impair their functionality or efficiency. Regular cleaning and maintenance can help ensure optimal performance and prevent any long-term issues caused by insects.
Why might energy from the solar panels sometimes be near zero even in the summer?
Solar photovoltaic panels are highly inefficient to begin with. There are a few possible reasons why it does not produce energy even in the summer . Wrong inverter is used 2. The angle of installation (azimuth and tilt) is not optimum to capture the sun Solar photovoltaic panels are expensive and inefficient, and will not survive in the long run.
but is that per day, per hour or minute? How much watts does the average AC unit use?How much does an energy efficient lightbulb use?All in all let's hypothetically say we no longer use the electric company for our energy source, How many of these panels do you estimate it would take to supply our small home?
It's virtually impossible to estimate how many panels would be required, without knowing your electrical usage, and where the house is located. I'll give our house as an example, but it could be off by a factor of 0 (not kidding) from yours. We have gas heat, no air conditioning, and no pool. We live in a dry, sunny area of California, and our roof is ideally oriented for panels. We would need 25 such panels, but we are grid-tied. If we wanted to disconnect completely from the electric company, we would need 20% more panels to compensate for battery inefficiencies. So, the estimate is 30 panels. Here are some caveats: ) Air conditioning, especially central air, could double or triple the estimate. 2) An area that gets less sun per year (northern US, for example) would need more panels. 3) Typically, when a house has grid electricity, they keep grid electricity when they get solar panels. It's much cheaper to use both in tandem. 4) That's a horrible price for the panel in the picture. You can find a 200-watt panel for less than that. 5) Other equipment is required besides the panels to run your house off solar. You can read up on it on the internet, or ask a professional solar installer for a free quote.
