There is supposed to be a big Samsung and Virgin Mobile announcement on Aug 23 I don't know what it is but I do know its probably going to be a Android phone.

Q:I have a t-mobile cell phone and since I returned home from vacation Sunday, I have noticed that my phone now says ATT as its service, not 'T-mobile.' I haven't done anything to my phone, and have no idea why this is happening! A few of my friends who live next door also have T-mobile and have the same thing happening. What's even more odd is we have far better service now (even though ATT has horrible service in this area- New York's Hudson Valley).Any idea as to why this is may be occurring?

It just means you're connecting to an ATT tower instead of to a T-Mobile one. Sometimes that happens because there's an issue with the T-Mobile tower and your phone can't connect to it. (Like if they're working on it right then or it's just busted, which seems to happen often.) If it's giving you better service, that's awesome, so don't bother to ask T-Mobile to put you back on their towers (tech support can do that I think). Roaming on other towers is included on T-Mobile so it's not going to affect your bill at all.

Q:I would like to buy a cheapish phone, from t-mobile, that has a real web browser. I don't care for videos, but i don't want to be restisted to web versions of websites. I'm thinking about buying a cheap phone and a ipod touch, instead of buying an android phone.

The original Samsung Behold might do you justice. It's a touch phone, but not a smart phone. Data plan would cost you $10 bucks a month. I used to use it for web browsing too.

Q:.adversely affect the functioning of an airplane's Radar with the distinct possibility of it crashing then why do terrorists bother with knives, bombs and guns?!.

I've worked with a weather radar (a very advanced one) and it has no concerns about a cell phone operating in a different frequency, with a different modulation and the radar is a Level C system, which means even if it fails, the aircraft's flight is not adversely affected. I work with an FMS now and yet again we have no worries about one cell phone transmitting. Cell phone frequencies are covered during the EMI/EMC testing of airborne equipment. There are good answers above me giving the valid reasons, if some doofus chose to give them TDs and you opt to disregard their wisdom, then cant help it.

Q:I am a T-Mobile user, in the US, and it is time for me to upgrade to another phone. I was wondering if anyone has any of these phones, and how they like them. My main issue is email access, texting, picutres, and obviously I would like most importantly to have the phone feature work with a clear and loud sound. i just got the nokia 5300 music phone from t-mobile and i dont like that you cannot e-mail pix. you can only text them. kinda sux. but the mp3 part and the sound is good. good luck.

T Mobile has had many problems with their [phones and network since they found out that they are merging with ATT. I know first hand. Since they know that this merger will go through T Mobile just stop caring. Their goal is to sell as many phones as possible to lock you into a contract. T Mobile has spent millions in legal fees because their employees continue to give out their customer's ssn and pass code. I have the case number for this. I hope that this helps as a great deal of research has gone into this.

There is no such thing as free lunch. If you stay with either Tmobile or any other provider for another year they give you a free phone. but the catch is that you have to pay the full price plan of say ?20.00 per month. The way to do it is what I do.So here is my idea and it works and you get more than just one free phone. I was on 18 month price plan of ?20 per month. I rang them and told them that I do not want a new phone and asked that if i stayed with them for another 18 month then how much discount they would give me. The lady said ?6 discount per month( so i would pay ?14) a saving of ?108 over 18 month. And i said i will think about it. I then rang a day later and spoke to a different person and he gave me a discount of ?12( so i pay only ?8 per month) a saving of ?216 over 18 month. And the free phone was only ?89 phone. So i saved ?216 and then bought the phone for ?89(SAMSUNG D9000i) on PAYG. So in fact I could buy 2 phones and still save money. And finally never accept one answer.Ring them again and the chances are that you will speak to another person who is more helfulp

You can't switch your Boost Mobile phone to Virgin Mobile. Both Boost Mobile and Virgin Mobile do not use sim cards. So there's no way of using your Boost Mobile phone on Virgin Mobile. Just get a Virgin Mobile phone. Since Virgin Mobile doesn't use sim cards, you can't switch your Verizon EnV Touch to Virgin Mobile. Also, Virgin Mobile phones are ONLY AVAILABLE on the Virgin Mobile network. So you cannot switch other phones. No Verizon phones, No ATT phones, No T-Mobile phones, No Sprint phones can be switched to Virgin Mobile. Only Virgin Mobile phones are available on the Virgin Mobile network.
