- Hi there, OK first of all you see the port on the side of your phone, rub it gently and whisper in its ear Daddies here then do the same with your laptop. Rub the two units together and maybe get involved yourself just to ease them a little, once the heat is on leave them to it and slowly creep in with your modem wielded in your left hand. Ever so silently raise the modem above your head, go cross eyed then smash the modem on the floor screaming IS THIS WHAT YOU TWO WANTED?!! this should create a massive contrast in emotions between the two items and they will surely work together to get you on the internet. How could this not work? Thanks.
- Q:I bought the cable with an installation disk, Windows found the hardware and found the driver on the install disk, and it was the correct one for my XP operating system. It completed with a successful install message, but I don't see at this point how I can use it. It doesn't show up as a new drive, storage device, or anything else in my computer. Theres no new program on the desktop for it, and theres no executable on the install disk. Any ideas?
- Not as intelligent as you guy's concerning cell phones. After i install the needed software for the phone in my computer, and wish to download photo's and videos saved on the phone, I plug the USB cable into the phone, and computer. (Sorry about the Run-On!) Then depending on the phone style, I flip it open, slide it open, or press On. Now press the key that takes you into the vid section, and press the key/s to download the media. The program interface comes up then.

- Radioshack or Microcenter(if you have one around) or Best Buy might have the cord. It's pretty hard to find computer parts in physical stores. Also you can get internet into a desktop using a wired connection that wires into the back of the computer using ethernet cable. For this you'd need a modem that is connected to the internet, you then run the cord from the modem to the computer. Almost every computer has atleast one built in ethernet connector. You could also get a PCI or USB wireless card if you have those slots availible and run a wireless network.
- Q:(I had to rephrase my earlier question)If the 1.1 cable doesn't catch on fire, etc: will all transferred data be intact (undamaged)?
- If you are concerned about the integrity of the data, then why not sha1sum or md5sum and check them? The cable for 1.1 and 2.0 as far as I know are wired precisely the same way, differences probably being shielding and guage of wire. Frankly, I do not believe there will be any issues with your data, given the general length of most USB cables.
