no, these cars did not have factory car alarms. however, with it being 18 years old, someone could have easily installed one during that time period.

Since your alarm is silent, the device that creates the sound may be defective. Locate and test what ever device it is that creates the sound when the alarm is triggered. Test that (or those) devices and replace any that you can't get to work by applying power directly to them.

Q:I just bought a Lexus is300 yesterday. It came with two set of keys which holds alarm buttons. The problem is that none of it works. I can‘t unlock the door, pop the trunk, and etc. What should I do to get the keys to work? Thanks

yes the suction line will sweat with a/c in cool if not insulated with armaflex, yes the white pipe carries away the condensate and will sweat at the bottom also if not insulated(use the thinner wall insul if you can get it) , yes commercial units have piping for condensate, yes the service guy would have brought gas to the condenser if he was checking pressures and thought it might be low and frozen up which makes the a/h drain improperly, yes you should follow the service guy around asking questions as he works to understand what he is doing and why.

Q:Our car alarm has started going off in the middle of the night for no reason. Using the remote to unlock and then lock again works for the moment but then it starts again. The one LCD remote that we have shows a hammer hitting the front side of the car which, I assume, means that it thinks the car is being vandalized but it is not. Can anyone help us figure this out?

HI A lot of things can set them off. just a car with loud pipes can rumble past your car and set it off. You might see if you can turn the sensitivity up/down so it don't go off when a car goes by If it hap pends around the same time every night I'd bet its a car going by. stay up some night and see good luck tim

this should have came with a really good set of instructions,i have one on an older car but i don't remember what wire went to what, i did have instructions with mine when i bought it though,and that's how i put mine on,if you don't have the wiring diagram they came with ,its almost impossible to install them,you might can go to their website for the papers you need to install it,good luck with it.

It will effect your gas millage and tire wear if they're not the right size and PSI, also if you change tire size you NEED to recalibrate your speedometer and odometer.

I would say any place that sells car stereos. They usually have alarms as well. I would imagine that you could find a pager system as well. Don't know if they work with a factory alarm or not though.

on my car, the alarm won't activate if the door is not locked , and unlocking the door deactivates the alarm ,I also have a remote that turns the alarm off and on
