Q:I just got home last night and when I tried activating my car alarm before walking into my home with the remote it wouldn‘t work, when I press the unlock button it works fine, lights flash and all, but when I press the lock button it doesn‘t do anything, I tried locking it with my key and it still won‘t activate the alarm, what could it be? And what can I do?
You should buy a new car, this one is trouble
Q:I got a quote for 2 12 inch kicker cvrs, a pioneer in dash head unit, a capacitor, a 2000 watt amp, and a basic viper alarm for $1850. Good price?
Online kicker cvr are about 90$ each, a box for 150$, a wire kit for 100$, a top quality pioneer deck for 220$, a 2000 watt amp for 300$ and a basic car alarm for 75$ a good alarm for 200$. That's about 1300$ in supplies and parts and 500$ in labor. Don't get the cap, it doesn't do anything unless it's the ones that look like metal boxes and cost 500$. Realistically online with 1800$ could get you a huge bang for your buck.
Q:How does the private car alarm install?
The use of mechanical and electronic joint anti-theft method to prevent decoding and demolition. The principle is in the car gearbox shift mechanism at the installation of remote control computer mechanical lock, with the rolling code remote control control, and the installation of the lock screw hole design of the self-locking device, the installation location hidden security, to prevent stealing code and demolition The At the same time independent installation, not open, do not destroy the original car any line, oil and direction control system! Will not affect the original car any warranty service!
Q:So I am looking to get an alarm for my vehicle because my sub and amp were ripped off the other night. Is that a good model viper alarm? Any other suggestions on preventing theft again would be appreciated. Thanks.
Unless you have the welding equipment and knowledge, go to a muffler shop and have them fit turbo type mufflers
Q:It is a 2000 Honda Accord and my alarm just started acting funky. When I push the button that usually locks and arms the car, it will just lock it but not give off the beep beep sound that assures its activated. And when I try to open the door, the alarm does not go off. The light in the front that shows when it is armed is lite but the alarm is still not soundingPlease only answer if you know. Thanks
You need a new battery.
Q:I have heard about the LoJack system which tracks your vehicle if stolen and its early warning system. If you own a LoJack system or know someone that does, can you give me some information and what you think about it and if you think it is worth getting over a traditional car alarm?
Lojack is highly effective at recovering a stolen vehicle, but not protecting it from vandalism or protecting the vehicle contents from theft. If your primary concern is getting the vehicle back if it's been stolen, then Lojack is the way to go; if you're concerned about preventing break-ins, then a more conventional alarm may be a better choice. Of course, there's no reason you can't get both.
Q:i have a 99 grand am gt with a car starter and alarm system from Direkt Start. i took it to get the oil changed today and now its still there because the alarm went off and wont stop and my car wont start? any ideas on how to make it stop?
take the battery cable off unless you know where they located the fuses on that car, they hide those so a thief cant find them, they should have went over all this with you when they installed it you,ll have to remove the battery cable or check and see if you can reset it with the remote, that should shut it off, good luck.
Q:Pulled the plug on the horn, but the alarm protection is interfering with my being able to start the car. A mechanic has it now, but any help would be appreciated.
I bought one just like this. Usually there is a 'valet' switch that will turn the system off when you insert the key and try to start the car. I had to actually go under the dash and disconnect all of the plugs from the module. The module is about the size of a pregnant iPod.
Q:Im trying to save cost when hiring someone to install it my car alarm system. Ive been looking around and it seems that you can only get installation service if you buy the car alarm system off them which makes sense of youre trying to make good money. so instead im thinking about:buying a cheaper central locking system off ebay then buy a car alarm system off the installation service provider and ask them to install the central locking system I bought off ebay and the car alarm system off them. This would save me cost of buying the central lokcing system and the car alarm itself from the installation service provider which would be really expensive.so Is this a good idea?ps. Im replacing my existing central locking system because I lost my central locing remote so I have to replace the whole thing.

Q:How do u set off a car alarm when the car is locked?? Do u just try and open the door?? Thanks!
It depends on the car alarm. Some have sensors that will go off even if you touch the car. They all have different levels of sensitivity. You need to be more specific on the brand/type of alarm.
